Official Nikon Club for NAM
I've got the 3 cables I needed, the Nikon MC-35 Cable came from Adorama, it arrived yesterday. The Garmin USB to RS232 Converter Cable and the Garmin PC Interface Cable both arrived today, both from Amazon. I've not been able to install the USB Converter Driver Files, I'll have Hubby see if he can do something. They don't seem to like Vista, go figure.
I'll see if I can get the Geko hooked up and working this weekend.

Anyone tried a Jobo Hotshoe GPS Logger with their Nikon? I'm looking at one for my D40.

Do You have a new Nikon D5000?
If so you may want to visit the Thom Hogan site. There seems to be a problem with some cameras. The concern Thom has is that some of the people who likely purchased the camera may not frequent the usual photo sites and see the problem. I had a problem with my D70. Nikon made good on the problem and is attempting to do the same with the D5000.
This is the link to the byThom site: http://www.bythom.com/.
The front page changes from time to time so do a search for: "D5000 Service Advisory Update"

I posted here because when my D70 went bad I thought I had caused the problem. I found no reference to it the problem. The camera store's sales person - a young kid - did not know of a problem. It was only a year or so later that I found on the Nikon site and other references to the problem. (I was looking for information about the battery.) I think the 5000 will be a great camera for someone new to the DSLR world. I just want to get the word out to those who already own the camera.
In that I have not been here for a while I am thinking of getting a 85mm prim lens. Likely the 1.8 but if I keep putting in the OT at work I may spring for the 1.4.
Take care all. Happy motoring!

Nice of you to mention the advisory.
If one doesn't frequent Thom's site or DP Review they could well miss it.
On the advisory page you put in the serial number & it will show if your camera is effected.
I guess your D70 had the blinking green light of death.

I recently upgraded from a D70 to a D90. My eyes were getting to the point I couldn't read the older, smaller displays. At least that's the excuse I gave my wife
. The 12.3 Megapixel sensor, high ISO performance, the dust-off feature, and the extra features (RGB histogram) were just bonuses.

Hey Fingershooter...are those RS-M's?? They are the exact wheels I want to put on Molly, when I have the funds available. Can you tell me what Lug Bolts you are using??
Thanks...L<3VE the pic. BTW!!

Wow, superb pictures from the D300. I am really starting to hate my D40 now that I got my Macbook Pro and Aperture. I can really see the low quality (to me) and its tough editing without making it worse.
I'm about to start doing real estate photography for a company for $100/house and my first purchase is going to be the Sigma 10-20mm but I'd really like to upgrade bodies to the D200. (I'm just a college student, D300 is too much). Resolution and quality doesn't really matter though when shooting for web display. I guess thats somewhat good for me for now, but I'm also building contacts for shooting portraits of their kids for prints and that definitely requires an upgrade.
I think the hardest part of photography is the initial investment to get the gear required for some of the shots you want. I'm pushing the D40 as hard as it can go.

Yes they are RS+M's. As far as what lug nuts I'm not exactly sure. I ordered them from TireRack and these are the ones they sent. I really like the wheels very much and dropping 10 pounds per wheel from the S-lites sure made a big difference.
