I don't live there, but I am from there and was up just before Christmas (grandparents live there). There must not be many MINIs there because you would have thought I had three heads and was driving a spaceship from some of the looks I received.
Anyone near there been to the track down by Glenwood Iowa?
I'm up for meeting next time I'm there. How 'bout Jones Street Brewery? Anyone?

 

I am planning on putting my order in for a BRG/B S in August. Have to save up for the down payment.

Lincoln doesn't have many MINI's either. I have seen a CR/W and a LY/W driving around town. There was a IB/W Cooper on a used car lot a few months ago.

Capsaicinmini- I am a member of the track at Glenwood- Mid America Motorplex. It's a 2.23 mile 15 turn roadcourse that is a blast. They are also building an 1/8th mile drag strip scheduled to be ready this summer.

Keeping my Honda del Sol for a track car, but I'm defineatly taking the S for a lap or 10 at Mid America when it arrives.

Where did all of you buy your MINI? Baron's in KC or other dealer? Any pros or cons from your dealer experiences?

I'm in lincoln (Big-L reprazent! lol) not a MINI owner yet... but someday... i'd gladly join up any local MINI meeting and join the crowd of obsessers

 

WOOOO!!! That has to be the best road course in the country!! Man, I gotta get up there! Do you know how lucky you are?
We have a private one here south of Ft. Worth but it is sooooo expensive!! Man! That tack is awesome!!!! Let's put a MINI National event together! That will put Omaha on the map! Serious! I'm in.

 

The track is great! Just opened last year. Events were fairly well attended, but some of the weekly club events didn't get a lot of participation.

The news is out however, almost every weekend is full this coming year.

A MINI meet at MAM would be a lot of fun. The track is centrally located, the same drive for everyone.

 

Great! goto the National Events section on this board and back up my post!! If we are going to make any headway we'll have to start now and possible plan for next summer 2004. I'll call the track and see what's open. I may be getting married then but wait... this is more important....

Hey! Could one of you in the Lincoln/Omaha area call around to see if there are plans to have a MINI dealership there. Tell them that a convention may be planned in the area otherwise we will look for support from KC.. (Local dealer support for a 2004 event)

I saw a BRG/W Cooper S in Lincoln on O street turning north on to 27th last Friday.

Anyone from this board? If so, I would love to get a closer look!

I'm ordering a BRG/B Cooper S this summer.

 

When I was in Omaha two weeks ago I must have seen 5 Coopers. Two of them S's.. Anyone on here? I'll be back up there towards the end of July.
