MID OHIO June 27-29
OK all you's in Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio... let's go!
If you've never been to Mid Ohio - it's a great place to watch road-racing. It's not real big like Road America (easy to walk around and see the whole track), and it's only about an hour from Columbus and Cleveland.

Mid-Ohio racetrack is about 3.5 hours from my place in Detroit.
What's the whole deal of the event?
Tempt me enough, and I may drive down and hang out
Cheers,
Ryan

Hey folks,
The Mid-Ohio vintage races and british car show is this Saturday, 21st of June. I just got off the phone with the track (1 800 -MID-OHIO) and they said as long as you register by 10:30 a.m. you should be golden. So bring those Coopers down. For a complete schedule of the week-end's events check out http://www.midohio.com.
See y'all there.

OK.
The MINIs race at 2pm on Saturday.
Practice at 8am and Qualifying at 11am. I have messaged with Tony Nuzzo and he'd love to see as many there as possible. The more the merrier. With just a few responding so far, I am not sure any kind a parking set-aside makes sense yet, but I plan to be in the SOUTH LOT, near gates 1,2,3. I'll be arriving around 10-10:30am.
Ryephile - love to see your newly pulleyed ride! Made me jealous to hear or all the fun down in Cincy....

This is a great track at which to watch a race. Easy to walk, easy to get to... nice area. ...and if it's raining, it gets muddy as heck!
Love to see you there!

Ryan,
There are two separate events at Mid-Ohio. This week-end is the Vintage Grand Prix. Old racers from the 1950's -1970's. Next week-end is the Road Racing Classic. Modern rides. This week-end has two "car shows" Saturday's British showdown, and Sunday's Concours d'Elegance (Corvette featured 50th Aniversary). There will be Mini racing this week-end and MINI racing next week-end.

Ryan,
Probably not able to attend next week-end, as I've been neglecting my familial duties of late. I can guarantee a good time at the races though. If you'd like to get some track time at Mid-Ohio, join the BMWCCA. I did it with my Audi a few years back via their Quattro Club. Its an awesome track.
