Christmas Tree Lane-Sat. Dec. 3rd, 5:30pm
Our slowest run of the year. A cruise down Cristmas Tree Lane ( Van Ness ) in Fresno on Saturday night at 5:30pm.
We will meet up at 5:30pm at Starbuck's, N/E corner of Shaw @ Hwy. 41. This way if you want something warm for the run you can get it. The lane opens at 6pm. We will leave Starbuck's and head to Blackstone, tn. lt. and go to Shields, then tn. rt. and go to Van Ness. When we turn right on Van Ness, it will turn into Cristmas Tree lane, about a 1/4 mile down the road. It's a 2-lane road, that is made oneway for this event. We take it all the way to Shaw ave. Depending on traffic it could take 1-2 hours from the time we leave Starbuck's until we get back. They take donations at the end, I give 5 bucks, it keeps the lane open every year. Lots of lights, and music. Open the top or sunroof, and windows, turn on the heater and HEATED SEATS
, and away we go, at about 1-mile an hour. Your clutch foot will be worn out by the time we are done, but well worth it.
Following the run we will head somewhere for food and spirits. Do we want to go to Porky's, or somewhere new? Let me know.

Dang, wish I could participate in this one but I'll be at VIP Anaheim with the Fireball Team for the final 2005 appearance of the MINIUSA / FTR dragster.
Christmas Tree Lane
These are just suggestions, but Chipotle is near or we can go and try out Claim Jumper, the new restuarant in the River park area. This sounds like it will be a great run. Is there another area in Fresno with Christmas decorations like the one near Fig Garden? I will see you guys on Dec 3rd.

By the way, my 2 girls will be joining us, so if you have kids bring them. Mine had fun last year. We do this every year.
Went by Friday night in anticipation of the cruise through, and they were still setting up. Looks like it is going to be great again this year. We will be there! The reminders are set on the Groups list as well!

Christmas Tree Lane Run
I had a lot of fun also, especially since I had never been on a run before. I had not visited Christmas tree lane in long time so it was a good way to get the Christmas spirit going. It was fun using the walkie talkies to communicate. The only downside was that the Nachos at the Hoffbrau made me sick. I am interested in going to Pismo but I need to get working on finding housing in Northern California. So I am not 100% sure that I will make it. I will hopefully, see you guys on the 16th, take care.
There was an incredible about of work done by the residents and volunteers to make Christmas Tree Lane the event it is today. It is definitely worth seeing, though I think it would be better to walk it so you could take more pictures and save your clutch leg.
Armando, those were the worst nachos I've ever had.
I'm sorry they made you sick. I must have a cast iron stomach, or the beer I drank sterilized them.

They do have 2 walking only nights where they close the road to cars. One was last Thursday, and the other is this Tuesday, I think.
Not very good nachoes, but the beer was good.

We couldn't get within a mile of BJ's so we went to the Hoffbrau. Beer was good, but the nachos where really bad. The upper portion had actual melted cheese, but there was some kind of velveta soup in the bottom layer.
This time of year, you want to avoid restaurants in shopping centers because it's really hard to find parking. We drove through all the lots around BJ's and never saw a single open spot. And we needed five.

SRtech, I do think the beer neutralized the bacterial toxins and made the microbes stop their exponential reproduction rate. I am suspicious of the weird cheese sauce as the culprit.
I woke up at 2 am to pray to the porcelain god, but felt better afterwards.
Itsdchz, were you guys able to repair your car? Hopefully, nothing serious.

Just poor connection between positive battery terminal connector and the battery, coupled with Seat Warmers, full blast Heater since the top was down, fluxing RPM's from the slow drive, parking lights and such...
Thanks for the concern

I may go to Pismo on the 18th, when I take my girls back home. They will be here that weekend, and they live in Atascadero.
