Ken and Sandee (riversong) have again offered to host this fun event. I wanted to get the date out, so everyone could mark their calendars. I will update later with more details. It would be much appreciated if those planning on attending would post, PM or e-mail so they can determine on how much food is needed. Everyone who's attended before, knows how much fun is had on this day. Just bring your swim suit, towel, and plenty of sunscreen. This is a day to relax and enjoy the river.

A few updates to tease. We will meet at Hwy 41 & Rd. 200 at the park & ride at 10 AM for an adventure in the foothills (the actual route is secret so don't ask) arriving at Riversong Ranch at approx. 12:30. A barbeque and then a leisurely afternoon in the river. Anyone wanting to campout & spend the night are more than welcome. All food & nonalcohol drinks will be provided. BYO alcohol drinks but remember there will be a test given before your allowed back in your Mini. Please remember to RSVP so we have enough food. Thanks Ken

 

Sounds like an awesome time & I know we had a blast last year. I think JIMINNImachine & I are driving his car down to LA to have Hubie & the Mynes crew add their 550cc injectors & dyno tune the car that day. It was the one opening in 3 months, so we'll have to see on this one. Gotta make mow powah.

 

I think your trip with the hubby is the following weekend (18th)--check with Jimmini. j.

 

Yep, it's the 18th - we were just chatting in 'A Big Thanks'. Jill & I are in Napa on vacation that week, so I've gotta nail down that we'll be in Fresno that weekend. Sounds like a great time!

 

So far it looks like I will be able to make it, keep those fingers and toes crossed I am doing my best to work the magic to make it happen.
It has helped that a big black cloud has recently lifted itself

 

I won't make the run, due to work, but hope to make the play day.

 

Bitzie and I are bummed that we will not be able to make the River Play Day. We are taking Coop to get his seat fixed and while he visits his extended MINI relatives, Bitize and I will be at a Chilly Cook-Off in Malibu on the 11th. Coop is also having his rear fender evaluated to see if the remaining small dents that the "Billy Mayes" kit could not fix can be removed without too much work. Dad is taking the loss of Billy really hard as it was his dent removal kit (as seen on TV) that saved Dad's behind!

Have fun at the river and Happy 4th of July to all. July 5th will be my one year anniversary with my MINI and the anniversary of when Bitzie ordered Coop. One year and the MINI love affair continues!
