No twisties yet. I went out to the back re=oads, but they are straight... A couple turns, but not many. When i finally meet up with the michigan MINI guys, i will figure out where they are. In the mean time, i;ve taken up bicycling as a hobby. I rode 10 miles yesterday and i;m going to start working up from there. My eventual goal is to race in a 50k or something like that....

Installing AGS V3 today. Alta is out now after being there for almost a year. No complaints, but I said my MINI was never going to stay the same forever. Taking the front end off now.

I'm glad you got the terror's under control. The front end came off fine, but there are a few more things I'll have to do to replace that entire plastic front piece that I don't have to do to install the AGS. Good practice, though. I'm cleaning, also, and looking at the Alta-nator install. I'm hoping that the alternator pulley isn't too hard to remove.

Not finished. It was 98* in the shade and I took a two hour break when I lost the shade. Now I've been watching the Tour de France. I just have the wiring harness extension left and reassembly of the front end.

The race is mainly pick ups pulling various trailers, from boats to 30 travel trailers. They drive in the 8, and try to knock the trailer off everyone else. The last one running with something atached, wins. Its funny to watch.

Where do I go to see this trailer racing, sounds cool. Last week I made a wrong turn at Pine Flat Lake and ended up having to back out of an S curve (25 ft boat+20 ft truck)

What's an Ags V3?

Yeah, on Speed channel. Look for Lucas Oil On the Edge. They have different things. Most out of the ordinary.

Exactly. And brad, that is exactly how you should go to the movie: not knowing what its about. It will be even more creepy that way.

Blake, so how is life up north so far?
Steve got his AGS installed over the weekend.

Tech, how does it sound, now that you have some miles on it?

This thread was falling asleep, so I'm giving it a boost.

AGS V3 is in and works and sounds great. I can't perceive a power difference (if there is one) between the AGS and the Alta, but I haven't driven it hard yet. Also, driving around when it's ~100° doesn't help to judge power. The supercharger whine is less loud in the passenger compartment even with the firewall panel still removed. From the outside of the car at idle there is not much difference except a slight amount of hiss. I'll have to have someone drive my car so I can get a better indication of the sound outside the car while it's moving. For those who don't like the whistle or the loudness of the Alta, this is the perfect solution. I wouldn't recommend the install to the faint-of-heart or those counting on the warranty. Cutting a wiring harness and radiator hose won't endear you to your dealer.

Steve
