Today I got hit in the windshield with a bolder in the lower right hand corner that looks like an artist's rendition of a black hole. There are several rings (cracks) around the center of the impact an the whole thing is about three inches in diameter. My windshield is beginning to look like a battlefield with all the chunks out of it and cracks in it.

It looks like you are on borrowed time for the window. I hope you choose a PPg replacement.

I have PPGs in everything else. I'm on the sixth one in the Behemoth. Only 400,000 miles on it, too.

Unfortunately, the current windshield only has about 50K on it and has a large crack in it.

Mine is really ugly now. I have to look at it from the inside and outside.

Yes, it's had a short and unpleasant life and needs to retire. I will probably get it done in the next few weeks.

Only for those without insurance. It will cost me $100 plus the time to get it done.

I've had six windshields in the Behemoth, two in the XR4Ti, one in the Corvair and soon two in the MCS. I think it's worth the extra money since I seem to attract rocks.
