Go here http://gotbluemilk.com/web071101/ for some photo's of Cliff's and my "most excellent adventure". Cliff is #83 and I'm #59. Pretty much the most fun you can have with your clothes on.....
BTW...almost ran out of fuel headed back to Willows. It was down to "- - -" and that was after starting the day on "full" minus the 7mi drive out to the track.....125mi and 13.974 gals later = "smile from ear to ear". Must have been the last 2 sessions trying stay on Cliff's rear bumper.
Oh....and Happy B'day Blake.

Sounds like it was fun. It looks like a nice day with a dry track so I assume nobody spun out (not that I would know anything about that.) It's sort of strange getting single digit MPGs in a MINI.

Hey JIMINNI, are you coming by the shop today? I'll be in the Bay Area tomorrow checking out one of my surveillance systems where the thief stole the computer doing the recording. Not a good month for my systems since the one on Mariposa got hit by lightning and blew two cameras and the video inputs that they were attached to.

Oh... there were a few "agricultural" excursions. Turn 1 leading into 2 got a couple, 1 at turn 9 and Randy (checkers) blew through turn 6 with dust fliying everwhere....I caught most of it through my rear view mirrors. Cliff and I stayed on the "black". Once he got a few "hints" from the coaches, we were pretty evenly matched. Gotta love the BBK's....I could out brake almost everyone and then the JCW would out run'm down the straight's. Turn 1 and 8 still were causing some "pucker" issues.
And the exhaust tips were nice and clean by the end of the 2nd session....Cliff kept complaining that I was blowing "carbon" out the back.....it was all a smoke screen to keep him off my butt.......

Thanks for bringing the parts, bs'n, soda, getting our cars called "little pt's"..

I got the STD on the driver side was a bugger it rewquired lots of pounding...trial fit and overg again. Funny thing the pasenger side went right on with no pounding whatsoever?

I've only had to pound both sides once. It usually only takes one big bump to trash the tower or a lot of little ones over time. We've had MINIs in our shop with less than 10k miles that had to be pounded and ones at over 80k that were completely flat. I guess it all depends on how lucky you are and where you drive. I wish Brad had told you you needed to jack up the side you were pounding since it makes things so much easier. It was nice to meet you and I'm sure I'll see you again at AMVIV.

Steve

Brad....
Did I see Dr. Steve headed up 99 to the bay? I was on my way down here at about 9am. All I saw was a blue flash going the opposite way, with some stickers on window........
