All the bolts were easy except for one. I noticed it was hard coming out so I think it was cross-threaded at one time The theads had aluminum shavings on them. I didn't want to bugger it further so I was really careful about getting it back in right. Getting the header in and out was easy if you took one piece of heatshield off. It pays not to be lazy.

I wasn't being lazy I removed the heatshield. I just had a hard time getting it past the front sway bar.

I'm talking about the front, left underbody heatshield. There was plenty of room to get the header in and out once that was gone.

Oh I don't think I took that out but I might have. Either way I got it out and put the new one in and it all works.

What all'd Jim get done to his ride? Also, I'm gathering petitions for CMS to keep Visa/MC #'s on-file for quick & easy order placement. Everyone think (waving hands around): one PM & you can own a new Mini part.

Example: "Dr.Steve, please order CF bonnet." <5min go by> Then you get a PM back, SRTech "Done"

How sweet would that be??

Just the header for now. It was pretty quite on the first test drive, but it got louder when I delivered it to his house.

Actually, I think the wives would put a contract out on us and we'd be dead.

Fracky, if you bring your MINI down to us next week, we will install the convertible braces and I can check out how much wire I need to purchase to fix the "rats nest." Hey, maybe we should change your MINI's name.
