I believe if you take that one off you can get to the side of the tube and cut the clamp.

Cut the clamp or use a hook tool to reach around the side and pry the clamp open.

Hey Dr.Steve,
Can we do a bracket kinda like what Blake's done (see above) since we'll be losing the Alta intake for the M7 AGS v.3? Carbon fiber would be sweet (wink, wink)

Fracky,

Do you want to get the brackets done in carbon fiber?

Are we going to use it on Blake's MINI, or Blake.

Myself, I wouldn't want to hurt the MINI.

Used on either one will probably get the job done.

Do you want me to cut the lower airbox away from the ECU box like I did on my MINI? That would leave a lot of space to play with. Carbon fiber? Do you know anybody who can fabricate the bracket for a reasonable price? How are we ever going to get your MINI smogged? Your water pump gear box on the supercharger has plenty of oil in it so that's a relief. I still don't understand where all the grease and oil is coming from. There are no leaks around the head and valve cover. Everything looks tight and it just looks like oil was spilled and left to collect dirt. I will be replacing a lot of rubber since it's pretty messed up from soaking in oil. If you were ever thinking of a head, this is the time since I am almost there already.

Sid/Msfitoy has a picture of his engine bay somewhere where he had a small sheet of carbon fiber which provided a mounting platform for the solenoids. It covered the base area of the intake box & was approximately 6"x7" -ish. For those of us who don't know, what's a Cosworth kit run these days? My old lady will have my "you know what" on the mantle if I say yes, but I'm still curious.

Horn is off, hole is drilled and threaded. Now all I have to do is wait till tomorrow to get some teflon and I will try and put it all back together....

And I tested the tubing and one of the lines has a hole in it (my entire engine bay was covered in n2o ice after I shut it off.....) so I will have to rerun the entire line that goes under my car....

Touche! The bad part is when you're finally at the point where you can touch/taste the Cosworth but don't know if you can get at it. I'm still waiting for the cost & what my final out the door total might look like. If anyone would like to contribute their equity line to my Frackmobile project that'd be awesome!
