Usually there's just a long arm that goes across the door and actuates the latch. I've had it break/disconnect in other cars before. Just had my door apart, but didn't look at the mechanism.
Now if it was on the passenger side, you could just pretend that you're chivalrous, but the driver's side is a PIA.
Yea but only from the inside, so I have to roll down my window and pop it from the outside. Oh well I'll just have to suck it up and go to the dealer, But I don't know when I will be able to make it over there, Maybe I can go to the one in Vegas on friday.
Thanks smart ***. The problem is that the inside latch on the driver size door doesn't catch or work anymore. So I took the door apart lastnight and took the lock out and rebuilt it and still nothing. Guess I'll have to go to the dealer.

It better not take longer than about 4 hours. Because it only took me about 45 mins lastnight to take the thing apart and rebuild it and put it back in.
