Everybody has. Its a rite of passage to working on the cars...

Steve, I lost one of the washers for my STB. Are they something I can get at the hardware store, or should I get a replacement through you?

Oh Yeah Very Glad to hear that.

My guess is the shifter was rubbing on the harness insulation and broke through. Once the water got in that was all it took to short everything out.

Yeah, I hope that they fixed the problem permanently so it will not happen again.

See you soon.

Say Hi to Nick and keep us Posted on his Doctors visit and whether or not he can go to the soft collar.

Hey Brad when you put in your Short throw Shifter did you leave the plastic dust shield off when you put the car back together?

I have the Milltek and the B&M and there is no way to put the cover back on. I believe the Alta shifter that Brad has can keep the cover. He also has the Borla Race exhaust.

I have the Borla and Alta Short shifter and the cover is still on. Only had to break off some of the tabs/ribs on the inside of the cover to keep from interfering with the linkage. If you want to go REALLY short, you have to remove the cover. Mine is set just below the middle setting and works great.

Well if you aren't running it I guess I wont worry about it. It looks to me that the heat sheild does a pretty good job of keeping it clean.
