Used Wheels

Anyone have any used 16" wheels they are trying to get rid of for cheap? Not looking for anything fancy here. if not, can anyone tell me where to look?

I looked on eBay and on the Tires Wheels and Brakes forums. I think they used to have a special "For Sale" forum for wheels/tires as well, but I haven't seen it since they reformatted the forums.

In my case, I found several sets of 15" and 16" rims, many with barely-used tires on eBay. Looks to me like lots of people buy the car new, drive for a few months on the stock rubber and then buy a new set of aftermarket rims and tires. They then sell the stock ones for cheap, since they're taking up space in the garage.

I ended up purchasing a set of 16" X-lites with Dunlop All-Seasons on them (less than 2k miles on the rubber) for $440 + 60 shipping - not too shabby.

I have a smiliar story and I believe so does Chuck. I think he just sold a set...day late dollar short. The wheels and tires for sale section is still there, just look in the market place. I am trying to stay out of there. Not only am I out of money, but had three sets of wheels. I change my wheels more than I change my grill badge.

I have to stay away from there as well... I have a weakness for the 15" "holie" rims (yes - the lowest-end ones) and would probably buy a set if I found a good deal... Of course, all my actual TIRES are 16" or 17" so I'd need to get new rubber AS WELL if I gave in to temptation...

So yeah, I stay out of there.

I ADORE the spoked "retro" ones that Chuck has... I'd buy them in a heartbeat if I had the funds... But I do NOT need more rims. I don't. I don't... ((chants denial like mantra))

I just bought a set of 3-day-old take-offs. If I really, REALLY like 'em, I may sell my 5-spoke 16"ers.
