We had a great time on the drive today. We were having too much fun to take many pictures... lots of twisties to navigate at high speeds and lots of colorful leaves to see at low speeds.

Wish I could have made it, too many commitments. I'm originally from Lancaster and have spent many days (and nights) running those roads.

 

What a nice day for a drive! How many of people made it? It would have been fun to join you guys, but it didn't fit into my schedule..Hopefully I will be able to meet up with you all at the next event!!

 

Alas, only the three of us made it on the drive, but it WAS a real blast! Thanks SO much to Shannon for agreeing to play tour guide for us. She certainly found us some excellent roads that I would never have located otherwise!

We did 555 on our last outing and it was indeed cool.

We're thinking of doing an all-day event some time soon (maybe in the spring, since the weather can get bad down there pretty quick) that would go down through Athens then east all the way to the West Virginia border, then back north and west, ending up more or less back in that general area. Kara's been researching popular motorcycle roads all over the southern part of Ohio and seems to have found some really juicy ones. Hopefully if the Mid Ohio Motoring Club sponsors it (like I plan) then more people will show up, though.

 

Yep, 555 is a great one. It's long and has varying surfaces, which keeps it interesting.

I'd be glad to help scout out roads for the 1st annual Ohio Spring Hill-Country Drive

I know quite a few of the roads down this way. And I've made a few trips down to Hockingport and along the Ohio River over to Parkersburg, WV.

 

OHIOHIPPO - 1ST ROAD I EVER DROVE IN WIFES MINI WAS 555 TOO MUCH FUN !
