Mid-Ohio Motoring Club Badge??

Is there a Mid-Ohio Motoring Club Badge out there?? We haven't seen one, but thought it would be great to have one! There are so many great badges out there and a Mid-Ohio Motoring Club Badge would be a great addition! If there isn't one already does anyone know how to make the badges or have any ideas for the badge?

Todd at toddsmods.com is doing custom magnetic badges for use with the official MINI badge holder. I think he's done badges for other clubs. No good Mid-Ohio ideas though.

Does Mid Ohio have a logo? I'm sure I can put something together for the club- I do design work like this all the time. Can someone point me in the right direction as far as file format, resolution, colors, etc. that the printer uses?

We work with Todd to our forthcoming Out Motoring badges as well as a few other projects. the diameter of the badge needs to be 2 7/8" and can be full color...go ahead and work up some designs and I can hook you up with todd and eventually we can offer then on our site so all the locals will have a way to get them...also, if you're interested in doing a Mid Ohio Motoring club logo during the process of designing a badge, we sorely need a good logo to replace the text logo on the www.MidOhiomotoring.com website. I would love to see some ideas!!!

....any file format will work, but if it was vector based like illustrator or freehand that would be ideal....photoshop is nice but vector art is good for doing stickers, decals and all that stuff thay may require the logo to be blown up on a banner or something...resolution does not matter if it's all vector art.

Drat... I was afraid that you'd say that. I know raster-based graphics really well, but I'm unschooled on vectors. Maybe I could come up with something raster based that could be translated to vectors? Otherwise i really can't help after all.

This is great! It would be nice to have something to look at before the next Quaker Steak and Lube outing.

I can take a stab at it in Photoshop but I'm no Illustrator vector-jockey. I know most of the pro-end graphics shops won't even think about printing a design that's not done in Illustrator... I really should learn that app one day.

I like the one with the background of the state in checks (but then I'm partial to anything with checks!). Great start...thank-you

I have had two individual PM some concepts which have not been posted, but they looked pretty promising....when I get a moment I will drag them over here.

The one with the checkered state IS a nice one, but I wish the Ohio were a BIT more noticible... As it is, is almost dissappears behind the text I think.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm heading out of town before sunrise tomorrow and will be out of touch until 9/19. I'll make revisions then.

Thanks.

I like number one & I like number two, with the exception of those Buckeye things. Not everyone in Ohio is a Buckaroo fan. How about a hybrid of one & two? Lose the buckeyes & add a twisty road below the word motoring too. Thanks for your work Thompson, very nicely done.

The Buckeye tree is the state tree and Ohio is the Buckeye State...

Ohio is known as the "buckeye" state. Buckeyes are non-edible nuts that come from buckeye trees and have been carried around by countless people for "good luck". If you want to think that the buckeye on that badge refers to OSU fans, that's YOUR opinion. Myself, I LIKE the buckeyes and the buckeye leaves, as they identify my state. If you live in Ohio, you ARE a Buckeye, like it or not...and, ya might be just a tad nuts, too.

So that's what you're smokin in that smelly cigar of yours? Hallucinogenic Buckeye leaves? Drugs are bad.
