There is probably a robust discussion going on in some other forum, but I wanted to know my Mid-Ohio peeps thoughts on this:

I know it probably runs on the D we do not have in the states so it will never come here, but I love the idea of a performance D car.

 

We've had a TDI since 2003. Love it, love it love it.

In fact, a diesel in a MINI might be the only way I will get my wife in a MINI of her own.

 

No D for me....

 

I would love to see a Cooper D in the US. I wouldn't go as far as badging it with an S though. There's more usable energy in diesel than in gasoline, which inherently makes them more efficient. I'm a firm believer in using fewer resources when possible. I don't have the memory the old farts have about smelly diesels.

 

I drive a smelly D every day along with my co-workers. They still stink, the D's not the co-workers.

Cooper S D would be like a cummins 4bt with a holset...id rock one
