Who from Mid-Ohio Motoring or from the Columbus area is registered for MTTS? I am driving the Columbus to Indianapolis leg on August 9th and going downtown to the Hyatt on the 8th.

Let's get some more involved from our group and talk about it tomorrow at breakfast.

MTTS = MINI takes the states

 

They just posted the events in Indy to include a lap around The Brickyard at 4:00 PM on Monday followed by a barbeque. I plan to make the drive, lap IMS, eat barbeque and then head back to Columbus arriving around 10:00 PM Monday night.

 

Yesterday at breakfast several said that they were going to make the Columbus to Indy leg. Who's in and have you registered? So far I know its:

More BBQ in Indy for those of us who are decisive - right Mark?!

 

I'm stuck too as to attending. Does anyone know if there is anything happening just in Columbus on Sunday? I haven't gone on miniusa to check. I know the Pgh leg is Saturday morning, south of Pittsburgh. A timed rally ending at the casino downtown around 3pm. Then they are taking over the casino through the night. On Sunday morning they head to Columbus. I got that from one of the PittStop guys. I'd like to meet up with you guys on Sunday but don' think I can do the trip to Indy and drive 5 hours home Monday night

 

Nothing planned in Columbus as far as I know. I'm going downtown and kick some tires late Sunday afternoon. The leg to Indy should be a good time and it's only a 3-3.5 hour drive.

 

I wish I had thought of this earlier, but the Miata club has been wanting to do a night AutoX that would have been perfect with the Minis coming to town in the evening.

 

We can't make it since Robb and I both can't take off Monday. We were really hoping there would be something in Columbus only.

I am guessing you have to have a new mini and not a 42 year old mini to join??? It looks like I am working on Monday anyway. I was thinking of trying to get Moday off.

Not true. There were a ton of classics at the last MTTS in 2008.

 

When you or anyone else registered, what starting region did you select? Eastern or Midwest?

 

I did Eastern, since that is the route that is coming through C-bus. Towards the end of the registration process, you enter your starting location.

 

well shoot, can I still register and make the drive for monday??? When is the cut off?

 

according to White Roof Radio's interview with the MINI USA planning lady Gina, there is not cutoff... ie: you register up to the day of the meeting...

Still debating if I can make it work on my end.... $25 to drive at Indy would be pretty fancy
