I'm trying to use up some vacation days and was wondering if anybody is heading to Mid-Ohio on a Friday for either of these two events:

June 18 - 20

I am going up Fri for the EMCO Gears Wkend around 300pm or so and staying the weekend in the campground with my son.

It will be great fun and the variety in the racing is interesting.

 

I might go to the vintage weekend, but we are traveling the weekend before so I might need a relaxing weekend at home.

 

Brian I will be up there both Fridays & most likely also on Saturday for the vintage. Contingent on how things are going with family matters.

I sure hope they can get their #6 car repaired in time. Quite a scary fire at the Glen.

 

they are switching to a different chassis for Mid-Ohio. It seemed to be the best choice for a quick turn around.

 

I thought there might be no way to fix that car in time. Using a different tub makes sense. I hope they have a good result, lord knows they could use one.

 

We will miss this year's vintage races. We will be in Florida. Last coupleof years going there and hanging out at the races with guys was fun. Sorry we will miss it.

 

Hey Kim, Florida will always be there. The vintage is but once a year. You can even see real vintage people. Cancel that Florida is full of vintage folks.

 

I'm going up next Friday. I have a customer in town for the races. Chuck, I'll be at the usual spot in the infield at the bottom of the S's. Probably will get there around 9:00 AM

At this point in time, I think I'm going next Friday. What time are you going to leave Hooterville?

 

I'd guess leaving at 8-ish after a stop at Panera would work for me. It's about an hour drive up via back roads.

 

This is the only week Spawn can go anywhere for a vacation. I'm afraid that this could be the last vaca together for a while. Junior can't go because of work, that will soon be her excuse too.

 

I will be there before 8. Did you pre-order tickets or are you just buying them at the gate?

 

I'll buy them at the gate. I wasn't sure I was going to make it so ordering early was out...

My Dad is in Hospital.

 

I got your voicemail, but my phone went dead before I could call you back. Let me know if you need anything or if Babs needs anything if you have to head up to Cleveburg.

 

Since Chuck has to take care of much more important things than going to Mid-Ohio (I pray for the best outcome with his Dad), I will be leaving the Walmart parking lot on Route 23 North (just north of Powell Road) at 8:00AM tomorrow morning if anyone wants to follow-me to Mid-Ohio.

Let me know if your plans include driving up with us so I know to wait for you.

I will be parking in the infield at the base of the "S"s,(if there is room), for anyone that wants to join us up there.

 

I will be there for the Ford Mustang Challenge practice at 830am and stay for most of the day.

Thanks Brian & Mark. Babs is OK & she is even able to hobble around & even drive her Scooby.

How about Saturday Chuck? Digs and I are planning on heading up in the morning. Probably stay through lunch then head home. Just need to find some ear mufflers for him, so he can not say I made him lose his hearing.

 

I'm going tomorrow with Tom. I'm not sure about Saturday yet. If I don't wear myself out too much tomorrow I may go up again. That way I can shoot an extra 1,000 or so pictures.
