I was pulling out of Target today and came up behind an R53 at the light. I look in the rear view mirror and another R53 is pulling in behind me! The only time I've been surrounded by MINIs has been on the way from Tim Horton's to the OutMotoring world headquarters.
But in keeping with true Columbus tradition (at least for me so far) neither driver even acknowledged the occurrence.
You are tecnicaly allowed to swap cars with the other person if they do not wave. You just have to get the other person out of their car, but after that it is even Steven Were my car not perfect I would have swaped it out by now.
This will probably start a good 'ol hate war, but, I've noticed that the MINI peeps that don't EVER wave at me are usually driving non-Cooper S's. How about that for an observation.
I suppose if the light had been long enough, you could've gotten out of your MINI and ran back and forth trying to get their attention...then again, that could get you into some trouble
Then again, one can NEVER fail with issuing a 'Motoring Citation'! Next time, just fill one of these babies out and slap 'em under their wipers! (we all Columbus' lights are PLENTY long enough to do this!)

Some of us enjoy our 'justacoopers'...Thank You Very Much!
That being said...if people were to buy a MINI b/c it was the 'hip' or 'gas-friendly' thing to do...and not for the Proper reasons, then I'm pretty sure most would end up with a Justa...
Rest assured Mikehaze, I've been known to go a little overboard when waving/flashing lights/grinning from ear-to-ear/etc/etc whenever I another on the road, regardless of the number of hamsters that pull 'em off the line

So, once we swap...do we swap back at the next stop light??
And when there is a MINI in front AND in back...in what order do we swap out?

Both cars today were S's. Justacooper lunchmeat in a snobby S sandwich I guess.
In general I find it's not the model, but the driver. Clueless people drive both.
BAD & I are waving, even if you can not see throught the slightly illegal tint we are in there waving like crazy I assure you. And after the first swap you have to keep waving at your Mini untill it is gone from sight or the other person can swap back, I thought these rules were in the Mini contract

Well, we bought ours LATE one night, and the the BMW accountant that was 'stuck' with us informed us in her heavy 'french-like' accent, that "It is much too late for this, next time you come back earlier" So I guess we might have missed the "swap clause"
