Just got Nano's lil' sister home this evening. They seem to be settling in together well. No problems with the transport whatsoever and the car looks fantastic - if anything even better than I'd hoped.

I'm off to the DMV in the morning to do some paperwork - better pics tomorrow.

Got my temp plate and put about 100+ miles on the car today. Had it on the highway for a while, then all around Riverside Drive. It certainly is fun to drive, but it IS a lot of work compared to the new MINIs - not nearly as plush. Still... I had a smile on my face everywhere I went, and you really DO get a ton of stares and waves.

Any time - just let me know when so I can be sure to be around.

I'm jealous! I plan to being the classic to the next breakfast, yeah... That's the plan, anyway.

I also took the opportunity to wash the car and see what it needs - I'm making a list. Not too much stuff really... It really needs more than anything new headlamp gaskets and a headlamp alignment DESPERATELY... At night, Fiona's a wee bit ****-eyed.

Filled her up this afternoon... $11.50 took me from less than a quarter of a tank to full.

 

I'm not really sure why but for some reason I always thought the pedals would be reversed on a right hand drive car as well.

Nope - they're the same as is the shift pattern - it's just on the right side of the car.

LOL... no kidding. I keep seeing it out of the corner of my eye and thinking that someone's tail-gating me.

As for test drives, the guys in my local MINI club have given me SO much help and assistance over the last year that it's the least I can do.
