Just a heads up that the Grand American Rolex series is at Mid-Ohio this coming weekend. June 22nd-24th Friday-Sunday.

What really has my interest is the Koni Challenge series. There are two MINI's running in the ST race.

Lets get some MINI owners up there to support RSR motorsport in their race.

I really like going on Friday because it's a great day to roam the paddock & get a good close look at all the cars. Also Friday is a bit cheaper at $10 for a ticket & $13 for a paddock pass. Those are advance sale prices. Cost is $15 each for us procrastinators.

Chuck, I'm definately in for Friday. I agree, it's the best day for us Old Farts who don't want to admit to how many times we spent the entire weekend at Mid-Ohio and only remember getting there Friday morning and waking up Monday morning . Infield in the tree grove?

I might be interested in going to this, but it would probably be on Saturday (was in Vegas last week, so I doubt I can swing getting this Friday off).

 

I found out that I am free Saturday to go to Mid-Ohio, so is anybody else going? I've never been to Mid-Ohio before, is there a good scenic route to get there?

North on SR 3

Turn right on Steam Corners Rd.

Turn left into Mid-Ohio

Easy wasn't it?

WOW, what a great time today ! Crashton, thanks for arranging everything and Cooper99, you may be young but you hung well with the Old Fart Motoring Club . Speaking of that, Chuck convinced Randy of RSR Motorsports to put an Old Fart Motoring Club sticker on the rear window of #197 and #198 at Mid-Ohio this weekend. Thanks Randy for the hospitality and time during a hectic part of your day .

The MINI's looked great on track and especially during the final practice session. GOOD LUCK this weekend .

 

Yep sure was big fun. Nice having a couple of other MINI owners with me & one was even an old fart. Cooper99 was fun to be with too, but them young guys walk too fast. I hope to put some pictures up in a day or so. I can't believe how many I shot. The motordrive sounded like machine gun fire everytime a MINI raced by.

 

Anyone going to meet me next Friday for the Vintage GP?
