What is the latest news on a club for the Louisville/Indianapolis/Cincinnati area? Anyone interested?

 

I'm interested! If you look in the Indianapolis MINI Owners thread, I've just been complaining about nothing going on near central Indiana. Louisville/Cinci or Chicago, I don't care. They're all the same distance to me! Lets get the interest going!

I'd be interested also. I'm in Louisville (well, OK, LaGrange). S'posed to have a car maybe in late February. We should plan a springtime event? The KY Derby is in the spring. Any springtime events in Cincy or Indy?

I am in LaGrange also. Dang, I thought I would be the only one. Mine is supposed to be here April. I will be at the springtime event with a mini or not, just to take advantage of the eye candy.

Derby time is perfect. By then it will be broke in.

At least we have different colors coming. Mine will be eBlue, every single option(except B-Stripes). We must agree to commute on different roads...

Our trouble will likely be actually getting some sort of club or event off the ground. That'd take _leadership_ and someone willing to commit some time. Right know, I don't have very much time. I'd participate if someone got things going (when I get my car).

 

Also, thanks to DinD for the thread link. Have filed this away as useful when I get a car. The wait is killing me....

 

One other thought (and I'm just trying to get into second gear here), I do a "lap" of KY every year on one or another of my two wheeled vehicles. The lap starts in Lou and travels completely around the state. We stick to the "border" roads at all possible costs, as well as avoid 4 lane superslabs at all possible costs. Takes 3 days on a bike.

Believe me, that'd be an excellent bit of motoring if we got a few local MINI's to do this annually. I already know where the good roads are (Eastern KY), where the good eats are, and where the good hotels are.
