I went to the Katz (don't confuse w/Morris Katz in Alexandria) on Glebe Road on the South side of the Rt 50 interchange to have my XM Delphi unit involved. I don't know if they're sound jedis or anything, but they definitely seem competent and fair on price. Their hours were a bit hinky as I remember so call first.

The only recommendation I have is...dont get of of those CD players that is hidden, and then folds down and out when its on.

IE. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-SQ364Ee...asp?i=158M8800

I had this unit in my Mustang that I just sold, and it got so annoying having to open and close it all the time, it wasnt worth how kool it looked.

What XM Delphi system do you have put in? Not the SkiFi?

I have the Delphi SkiFi. I was on a short timetable when I had it installed so I went with the RF modulator instead of the Blitzsafe adapter. They mounted to controller to the lower left of the steering wheel. It's a bit tough for the driver to see the info on the screen, but it is convenient to change channels. They put a new antenna on inside of the windshield on the driver's side and the system is hard wired for power so you don't need to worry about the cigarette adapter.

I'm just baffled by what they charged you for... The SkiFi is plug and play... The car kit includes a cigarette lighter adapter, and small antenna... Belkin makes RF adaptop's for like $35...

Plus, the Aux input is cheaper than a Blitzsafe adapter, and sounds much better than an RF adapter...

You could have done the whole thing yourself in 30 minutes or less with no drilling, splicing or wiring..

They mounted the docking station, hard wired the power so I don't need to use the cigarette lighter and I have no loose cables, and ran all the cabling for the rf and the antenna very cleanly. This was last August when the AUX plug was still coming out and I was making a road trip to a football game in Morgantown that weekend. It's not a perfect solution. I do plan on getting the rf replaced because you're right you do lose volume along the way. It wasn't a perfect solution, but it's worked well for me for the past half year
