Delaware (Delmarva) Mini Club

It seems there is no Mini Club in Delaware so I'm looking for anyone interested in starting one. So far, I've only found 2 others interested. I see Minis everywhere but none seem to be listed on any site I've been to. HELLO...Anyone out there???

How's the club thing working out? I live in northern Delaware and just picked up a MINI. Funny how many I see on the road now that I have one...

I found a half dozen people locally interested but we haven't done anything together yet. Maybe now that the warm weather's here, we'll all be out playing. I tried to register a club here, but you need a web site first and I haven't taken the time to build one yet. I've been surprised at the number of owners who didn't respond to the invitations I left on their windshield. If you're interested in joining us for any events, let me know. There is a big, well organized club in Philly if it's closer to you. BTW...what did you buy?

Well, I am mostly in Newark, so Philly is still 30-40mins from me. I picked up a 03 MCS, most fun I've had on four wheels! (So far..)

The club was never established due to a lack of interest. I had 3 people out of about 36 invites show interest. I still find hard to believe.

Hope you have better luck. Let me know if you get anything together. Right now my Mini's in my garage waiting a new belt. Bought the belt tool but haven't gotten around to changing it yet. This car just gives me one more reason to REALLY dislike engineers.

Sax if you would like a hand I could easily swing by one evening and pop that belt on as I've done it at least a dozen times.

Don't forget to check out the club page on facebook. Even if you don't use facebook, join so that you can periodically check in and see what we're planning on doing. You're only visible to those that you allow yourself to be visible to and within the club you'll be fine, I promise!

I'm ordering the belt and a few new screws and clips for the inner fender. If I have any trouble you may hear me scream. I had less trouble changing the back plugs on my wife's '77 TransAm. LOL

Looks like it’s been a long time since this threat started. Hoping to see a Mini Club nearby really..

Facebook page still requires an account to see the posts. Unfortunately, I’m one of those who merged Facebook accounts with wifey and then totally closed after seeing how lame your distant friends can become.

I do see a lot of Mini owners by Delaware beaches, but mostly elderly women who do not wave / beep / flash lights.

Anyone visiting beaches welcome to drop a line.
May help you save a few bucks shopping at a certain store at the Outlets.

also just discovered this age-old thread poking around the interwebz to see if there's a So Del mini owners group. You'd think there would be, with all the minis around the shore area here ...

Shoreside Mini

I tried the First State Mini page but nothing.

Found ShiresideMini on Facebook. It’s an active club. Meets at Seaford.

Bummer. No FB.
Thank you for the info.

Last weekend, the British car show was in Lewes. I stopped by before work. Here's a Mini from the event.
