I am about to make my first MINI purchase and was just wondering if anyone had dealt with them before.

 

I worked with an MA named Cliff Jaques, who happened to be working at Mini of Peabody, and he was great to work with. He is based out of Bedford NH. I dont know anything else about that dealership, but I really recommend Cliff.

 

I will look him up.

 

The dealership is owned by the same folks as MINI of Peabody. That probably explains the overlap.

 

Just bought my new 2011 Mini S Convertible there. Great dealership and (so far) great service. Andrew was my salesman and Bob Vallicourt is the GSM. Nice guys!
They are still working out the "kinks" as they just opened up a couple of weeks ago but they were very accomodating. Good luck with your purchase!

Pretty new dealership...just been open a few months i think....

 

My other half had a terrible experience trying to buy a Mini at Mini of Bedford. The first time we went in was the day they opened. Everyone was either busy with clients or just standing around. We were spoken too when we walked in but no one spoke to us afterwards. So We decided to leave because it was close to their closing time and come back another day. So my other half went in to see about trading in the car that we wanted to replace with a Justa. He get out of his car and walked around the lot for a few minutes and then went inside. He was not greeted from any of the sales staff that was sitting at their desk along the front windows. Then finally someone came out and greeted him. So they talked about the trade in and what it was worth. They totally lowballed him and told him that they don't want a Ford Focus on their lot. So he left. Come on why would you say that to a customer? Of course an 06 Focus will not be put out on the front line but sent to auction. The salesman was rude, ignorant, and acted like he didn't want to be there.

So he ended up at the Kelly Fiat Studio in Danvers and bought a 2012 Fiat 500 Sport.

So anyways I ended up buying my MCS private sale but it now has to go in for service. Even thou I live 10 minutes from Mini of Bedford my co-worker's girlfriend is going to take it down to Peabody because she works there. Hopefully since she is bringing it in I will be treated better and change my opinion about them.

 

So an update to my visit. My MCS ended up at Mini of Bedford today. Due to my friend being sent there to fill in for a sick employee. I am very pleased with the visit. The service department went way beyond my expectations. It needed rear brakes and wiper inserts which were replaced under the free maintenance agreement. They also replaced the chrome ring on the keyfob, timing chain tensioner and gasket. And I'll be bringing it back to have the passenger headlight and side flasher replaced.
