I am working a group buy for SCMM and I thought I would offer it to NAM members as well.

5 or more of the aluminum ones we can do 111.96 + $10 shipping
these are the ones listed here

http://mossmini.com/Shop/ViewProduct...21&SortOrder=1

I will be able to take paypal but you will need to pay the fees, or you can send me a check.

Wow - I completely forgot to follow up on this after seeing it the first time.

Anyone happen to know if the skid plate will prevent installation of the M7 CF front splitter?

it should not have anything to do with the splitter. Randy from M7 had a plate and th esplitter on his car at one point.

I am waiting for my front splitter to come in and I am also putting a skid plate on my car after seeing the broken oil pan 2 weekends ago.

Definitly not planning on it but sometimes it happens. One car last weekend went off and hit something or other and broke a nice big hole in the oil pan. The sad part is he drove it off the track with no oil and ultimatly seized the engine.

It looks like a skid plate, but is it. The front attaches to the bumper or does it actually attach to the bumper cover? how about the rear support? What grade of aluminum, especially with the large I think it needs some holes here design? If its an actual skid plate you now have an extra jacking point Over the years I've seen many, most of which may as well have been made from painted plexiglass. It would be nice to have someones input that has one before a bunch of people buy them because they got a "good deal"
I hit a large deaf & blind or perhaps just stupid pigeon, My oilpan held up fine.

Came across this in a search, it's a bit late but is the GB still going on? I would be very interested.

I am also interested. I almost had an "incident" the other night, it was dark and rainy and I somehow came out with zero damage, but a skid plate would have been good too. I have a lowered MCS on the way and think I better get protection for it.

While that looks cool, there's nothing metal that it's bolting to in the front...the front of the skidplate mounts to the bottom of the front spoiler, which screws in to the bottom of the radiator support. That radiator support is plastic...one good whack to that piece and you have to replace it anyway. Seems like this would give you a false sense of security.

(not rallycrossing my MINI..that's what I've got a POS Subaru for.)
