FS: Quicksilver Exhaust

This item is currently on my MINI. I have had it for about 8000 miles.

Price: $750~$850 NEW
Composes: single-sided system,
Power gains: around 7-8 hp, 5-6 lb/ft torque
Piping Diameter: 2.25"
System weight: 20 lbs.
All stainless, Boxster Oval tip. Seems to be the most popular of the single-sided systems. Loudness is more than Borla Street and Milltek, but less than UUC and Magnaflow. More info can be found here including sound clips. https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ad.php?t=23789

Asking $480 shipped or less if you pick up. PM me if you have questions.

Curious, converted my MC to an MC1/4 (MCS front/rear bumpers, cap etc) wondering if the exhaust can be put on an MC with the MCS center outlet?

Has anyone done this if so I'm interested in the exhaust

Thanks

Good question. With this being a single sided system, it could potentially work. You'd have to check out the exhaust hangers to see if they are in the same places.
I wonder how a system designed for the S would perform on the Cooper.

Anyone with superior technical knowlodge care to comment?

Baldbikerguy- you could always get it and let us know.

I just got off phone with Pete at MyMINI. He assures me this unit will NOT fit a MCSC. The hanger assembly is all different than for the MCS. He doesn't know of any maker doing a system for the convertible.

From Pete:
The system will fit an '05 BUT the bracket clamp has to be changed to make the "inside" elbow fit the new hangers, which are turned 90 degrees from the old one. If you have the bracket, the buyer may be able to have a new (nee stronger) one made up. That would probably be cheaper, and better, than ordering one from the UK!

Not a convertible...

I've got an '02 MC that I have MCS bumpers on it now. I do have the center exhaust outlet currently but don't like all the bends in the pipe. I thought this may fit due to the fact that it is the "single side" and if the hangers were close (things can be modded)

That's what I was wondering....

Can you post a pic of the rear hangers so I can see what needs to be modified? I just dropped mine yesterday to get the heat shield off so I know what the 2005 hangers look like already.

Both hangers on the pre 7/04 MCSs hang left to right. After 7/04, one hanger hangs left to right and one hangs front to back. If you've already seen your 05 hangers, then you should be able to picture what I'm talking about. I think the rear most hanger on the post 7/04s is the one going front to back.

Its odd though.....In my data base it mentions the pipe having a production to 7/04 but the hanger are from 1/04.

Im know its just the hanger placement which is easly fixable to fit.

Thanks. I love the Mini! Moding it is more fun than the other two. Dosen't cost an arm and a leg either.
