BRAND NEW R98 Web Spokes w/ NEW rubber

my 2005 MCS will be delivered in early to mid July with R98 Web Spoke wheels and Performance Run-Flat tires on it.

I will be going to aftermarket wheels and tires and would like to sell the OEM combo in brand new condition, before the car even leaves the dealer.

Here's a pic of the wheels and tires: (not my car or pic, obviously)

The wheels go for $1687 from the dealer without rubber. So I imagine the MSRP of the wheel and tire combo is somewhere around $2500. Obviously I'm not looking for that much. I would like to get approximately half that though, if that's reasonable.

Please let me know if you're interested. Thanks!

You should have no problem selling the wheels wish they had been available sooner I recently purchased a set of the R90's. The tires however might have to be a give-a-way, the run flats while somewhat convenient are not an aftermarket tire of choice they just are not a great tire way too stiff for any type of decent ride, although good for winter time driving. Plan on not getting much for the run flats. Good luck

Just a thought... you might get more $ for the runflats if you sell them individually on eBay. Seems like they probably have much more appeal to people in need of a replacement tire (and who are dismayed to find out how much they cost!) than for people looking to switch out a whole set.

Good luck!

I believe they're right around 25lbs just like the S-Lites (wheel only)

here's a bump for ya... I ordered those wheels too because of looks and a few pounds less weight at each corner....

I'm curious as to why you spent $500 more for the wheels over the S lites only to ditch them before the car shows up?
Are you planning on running an all out track car or something...
just curious...

I wondered about this too, but it's actually pretty smart. If he had saved the $500 and went with the s-lites when he went to sell them to put the aftermarket wheels on he would be competing with everyone else trying to do the same thing. But if he goes with the R98's there is less competition and he will make his money back plus more than what he would have got out of the s-lites. Wish I had thought of it.

Actually the car was ordered per the sales manager's preferences, not mine. It had all the other options I was looking for but I wanted an anthracite wheel.

In any event, these are back up for sale - two buyers fell through.

I have them in my possession now - car was delivered a week ago and is wearing anthracite Superleggeras now.

The R98s are actually very nice rims. Silver painted center with polished AL lip.

MAKE ME AN OFFER
