FS: 4 S Lites with less 100 miles (no tires)

I have 4 S Lites (17") in perfect condition. I had them switched out for R99s when the car has less then 100 miles on it.
Asking $75 per wheel plus actual shipping cost. PRICE REDUCED
Want to sell wheels as a set.

I tried searching to find out how much wheels like these go for. Perfect condition and less then 100 miles.

I need to clean them if anyone is wondering why they look the way they do. I will also post these on Ebay but if someone buys them here then I will cancal the Ebay auction.

I think you're a little high on price

Wheels are $225 brand new from a dealer, and with Mini of Sterling's mail-order parts counter on another board, you could get them for less, and that's with free shipping. Just FYI.

I bought my BRAND NEW S-lytes, delivery take off, from my dealer, $400 for all 4. No tires, just the rims, and they were taken off the car as it was delivered from the factory, so less than 30 miles would be my guess. There was not a single flaw on them, they were PERFECT, and did not even have brake dust on them, inside or out.

I think expecting anything over that for the set is a bit high, then to add in shipping....gonna be a hard sell. IMHO.

I think the brake dust cost more than what the wheel value..

Nice wheel, Big minus on the brake dust!

In the British vernacular, he's 'taking the ****' out of you.

Why? Good question!

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I think the point they were trying to make was: when selling items at a premium price, one should take the time to make the item look as nice as the pricing point reflects. In other words, take time to clean the brake dust off the wheels prior to snapping your pictures. Again, I may be completely wrong about this.

I've kinda kept an eye on ebay and Nam watching the price of S-lites.

The going price for S-lites seems to hang around $200 for set.

Promblem is that they are really a dime a dozen. Lots of people taking them off and selling them. Not many buying them. What the dealer charges is really not a matter in determining resale value.

Dude. Do not get discouraged. I got $900.00 on eBay for same wheels and 4 used tires.

Since they are quite common, eBay is the way to go. People like to use these for racing. Some don't care that much about condition. Mine were in much worse shape than yours. Good luck.

Interested

Mdsbrain, I would be interested. I just got my MINI and after my first wash I noticed that one of the wheels is scratched. I must have done it parrellal parking but I don't remember. Dumb, right? It really boils me.

Anyway I'd be interested in talking to you about this.

I tried Ebay twice now. Got offers of $300-$350 shipped . Selling them with tires helps. In my case I moved the tires to my R99s.
I've though of keeping them and putting some winter or other tires on them when I get the cash.

Sorry about that. Winter tires are good if it doesn't work out.
