Colored stuby antenna

Does any one know where I can get one in yellow?

I don't know where to find one, but I think it could be cool. Be sure you post if you find out!

I know they are out there. I saw one on an IB/W MCS over at Steve's auto clinic, but never got a chance to ask qustions.

Edit: Found one site that has blue and red: link

I can color code a stubby antenna to any body color you like, as long as its dull black rubber!

Try taking a S2000 antenna to a paintshop and seeing what they can do!

I'd like a stock antenna in yellow. Would paint stick to it? Anyone who swapped for a stubby want to get that factory RC car antenna out of the garage?

I wonder if you could DIY with some sort of Plastic coating along these lines. I assume there would be diminished reception, but if you're like me and listen to strictly CDs and/or iPod in the car, that wouldn't be an issue.

No plans to do it to my MINI, but I'm curious to see what others come up with!

Let me add that the metallic "red" ones that you may see for sale on line look more like hot pink, especially in person!

Will let you know in a day, or two. Second coat is drying right now!

Tell us how that works out!

I really would like to find one in white, with the white base to match the roof better...

For all those interested, here is the end result. I used the product recommended in earlier post. I used the spray can as I couldn't find the dipping version. The antenna is an S2000 antenna with 6 thin coats applied to it over a period of 2 days, with plenty of drying time in between.

How I did it? By hanging it by a sawing thread from a hanger:

How it turned out? Amazingly the color is just about spot on. Not bad for a $4.75 can:

Here is how it looks on the car. The shots were taken at night. I will take some during the day if anyone is interested:

And just a little something I picked up to add some more color and bring thing together. Yes, a body colored shift ****.
