Yes, they said it can be done with PayPal. So far, my total cost is $256.67,

eBay site said the auction ends April 17th. Looks like he has one left. I just hope it fits an '05 MCSC. If not, it will be for sale here.

I think the seller thought the wire fee would be $7.50 EU but that is probably for wires that come in locally, the fee to receive the international wire appears to be higher, but the seller thinks it is our banks charging the fee. Who knows? Probably why they opened a PayPal account. I sent my $15.86 EUROS this morning at 7:00 am and they had confirmed payment by 8:00 am. I spent approximately the same amount ($260) and I think it will be worth it. I have two friends in my car club that have this armrest and it looks great and installs in 15 minutes. I think it will be worth the time and effort! I'm glad that buyers from now on will have a much easier time then we did. Wish it could have been me....

Yes it will fit your 2005. I have seen it actually installed. Looks nice! I know two people with this armrest already one in a 2005 MCSC and one in a 2004 MCS. The part installs in 15 minutes and goes under the seat bolts or something like that. Hope this helps!

Mario,

It is my understanding that the armrest only comes in Black Panther Leatherette (That's the color of my interior as well). My friend with the MCSC has the blue leather seats, but the armrest was still black panther leatherette. The base of the armrest is dark gray or black and the legs that attach the armrest to the seats is black. Check out the first post on this thread. there is a link to The Motoring File's review. it has better pictures that will let you see exactly what it will look like.

Thank you, goljnky. I lived in Germany (Darmstadt) for two years in the early 70's - U.S. Army Aviation - but just picked up enough German to order a good meal.

Glad to help a fellow vet. Never made it to Germany myself. Except on stop overs to destinations unknown.

The armrest is on its way

All,

Just a quick update. I called DHL in Germany this morning and found out that my armrest is own its way. The phone agent told me that my armrest should arrive by next Tuesday. The shipping time to the US is between 6 and 10 days.

I have heard that the armrest will NOT fit cars with DSC. Has anyone installed one with DSC? Any problems? Thanks.

I don't see why it can not be installed if you have DSC. It just installs under the seat bolts. Here's an link to the installation instructions:

Hope this helps.

I never got a shipping number, although the seller replied to my email saying he received the money and shipped the item. Hopefully it will be here in a next day or two.

Shipping may a little longer

All,

just received an email from the seller and he said that it will take 3 to 4 weeks for the armrest to arrive. I found this to be a bit strange so I called DHL in Germany and they confirmed it would take 3 to 4 weeks. But yesterday they said it would be here by next Tuesday. I wouldnt have called DHL but since I received the note from the seller I thought what the heck.

Well, I'm still hopeful it will be here next week.

Thanks for the update. Since I was the first to buy from this seller and to send my money, I was hoping to see my arm rest soon. Based on your original 6-10 day post, it should already have been here. I was starting to get a little nervous. Actually called the guy today. Language barrier was a b*tch, but I finaly got out of them that their computer is down and will not be up till Monday. At least your latest info makes me unclinch a bit.

P.S. The Europeans sure seem to be more relaxed about their business practices than we in the States are. I've noticed that on numerous other ocasions.

The armrest saga continues...

Yesterday I got an email from the seller with the tracking number. I spoke to DHL's sister company in Germany, they tracked it and this package is being sent by "ship" and it takes from 10 to 12 business days to get to the U.S. and it could be at your door in maybe three days after that.

I'm going to forget about it and expect it in a month
(Sure wouldn't expect it here by next week...)

Did they provide the name of the ship? We could track our armrests the same way we tracked our Minis.

Anyone else able to track your package through DHL? The tracking number provided is not coming up on their system.

Kelly,

I was able to track the package with the folks at the DHL office in Germany. I was told the armrest has left Germany and I should expect it in about 4 weeks. Once the armrest leaves DHL cant track it anymore. I was told I should contact the USPS for additional info. Let me save you a call as they didnt have any info.

The wait is proving to be difficult.

I am starting to feel guilty as I started all this. What the hell does USPS have to do with DHL?
