FS: 2003 MCS/JCW.BRG/W. Only 7K miles

I have a friend that is selling the above. All 3 packages, Sport, Cold Weather, Premium. Black Panther Leather, Sun Roof. No stripes. Goodyear Runflats.
Will sell for only $24,995. Kelly Blue Book lists $25,220. WITHOUT JCW and everyone knows the JCW package is at least a $5k dealer installed option. I would guess selling price is $1,000. less than book trade in value. Probably a great deal if your looking for a low milege JCW.

Would like to know what you think of pricing regardless if you have interest in buying. I think its a steal.

I'd buy it for that price, as i am looking for one. the only problem is i am in san francisco and the car 2000 miles away. i don't think i could buy a car site unseen.

I know that pictures are not the same as seeing the car in person (er: should that be in car ). If you want I can get some pictures posted or PM'ed to you. I have heard that it shouldn't cost more than $500 to have shipped if you don't want to fly in & drive it home.

I'll ask my friend to get some pictures, various angles, inside shots, etc.
Would you prefer I e-mail them to you? If so, send me a PM with your e-mail address. If not, I could post some here.

I would be interested, but shipping is a pain, and the only color I hate more than that horrible purple blue color is BRG. I think the price is good, though.

Brand new an '05 if purchased prior to the Jan-05 price increase with the options you see there is $25,170, so I am not sure how Kelly Blue Book can show a higher price than a brand new one. The '04 JCW kits are about $4500 installed right now (if you can find any) so you are looking at about $29,000 for a brand new. So the price seems pretty reasonable to me.

This is with JCW? That's a fair price. A JCW equipped MCS with only a sport package sold for around 20k on NAM recently and I think it was 2003. Can't remember the mileage but it was low but I think more then 7k miles. So adding the packages should make it more desirable and bring up the price accordingly.

Land Rovers look nice but I am a bit skeptical of their quality. Plus, they get such low gas mileage and at least in the discovery, when I sat in one, it felt like I was sitting in an lazy boy recliner.

I paid more than that for my 03 MCS (bought it new) without the JCW kit.

Looks like a good buy. Still under warranty. If not wrecked, dinged or dented up, and the engine is sound (not making noise) it would be worth flying from CA to get it or having it shipped out in my opinion.

Geez... I wish I had the money. I'd come and pick it right up. I grew up near Mt. Pleasant and I live about three hours away right now.

The '04 JCW kit does not fit to the '05 model so the $4,500 cost is even somewhat low. Installation of the '05 kit will run about $6,000 (depending on the dealer) so an (almost) identical '05 will run a shade over $31,000. I say almost identical because the '05 JCW kit is (optimistically) rated at 210 bhp while the earlier JCW kits produce (again, optimistically) 200 bhp.

Remember, folks -- this MINI has only 7,000 miles on it! And, if you really need that extra 10 bhp found in the '05 JCW kit, you can add the JCW upgrade (airbox, injectors & software) for about $500. You're still saving almost $6,000 compared to a 210 bhp '05!

My two pence,

Theo
