Mid spoiler for the MINI....!?!
Not too sure about this one but I thought I would post it and get everyone's opinion.

By the way... the above pics were found Here....
Just thought I would put it out there.
Any thoughts?

By the time the airflow gets back to the spoiler it is probably on the turbulent side of the boundary layer anyway, so the effectiveness of the spoiler is compromised.
Airfoils (like the spoiler) operate significantly better with laminar (smooth) airflow. The squared off end of the MINI produces a pretty dirty airflow behind the car, and by that I mean there are a lot of vortices. This is why hatchbacks wind up with a lot of debris collecting on the rear.

I'm not too crazy about this either...
Plus being in a heavy snow state (Wisconsin) I'd think that would just be a snow dam. (Even with a rear wiper)
I hope no one brings out those huge wings that I've seen on Lancers.
One more thing, for the love of sweet jeebus, no one jack one up!
Desecration I tell you!

That looks silly IMO. And I don't see how any airflow device in that position could have any effect on the handling. And it's not like MINIs are known for losing the back end anyway!
