Hello All!

I have two Classic Minis for sale.

1970 Mini COOPER (fully restored in 1991 to 1991 spec) in Green with White roof and mirrors.
It is a fantastic car with LEFT HAND DRIVE, the 1.3L carbureted engine (63HP), 4 speed transmission, 8.4" Power front disc brakes, Burr Walnut dash, door and window treatments, AM/FM cassette stereo, 12" Mini-Lite style wheels. Approx. 40,000 miles.
It is scheduled for arrival the first or second week of August.
PRICE: $8500

1971 Mini COOPER (restored in 1991 to 1991 spec) in RED with White roof and mirrors.
This car is outfitted the same as the aforementioned Green Mini but with NO radio. Approx. 40,000 miles.
It is scheduled for arrival the second or third week of August.
PRICE: $8500

BOTH cars will have clear U.S. titles, be serviced (oil and filter change, new air filter, new spark plugs, cleaned/detailed) and be ready for immediate enjoyment by their new owners.
These cars are MUCH less expensive, in the long run, than restoring a worn-out rust bucket Mini both in terms of time and cash outlay.
They would would make fantastic daily drivers as well.
You had better be prepared for plenty of attention, though!
It is NOT unheard of to get 40+MPG with these marvelous little cars.

If you'd like pictures or more information, please don't hesitate to e-mail me.
I'd be glad to answer any questions and provide pics.

Best Regards,
Bill
Imperial, MO

You know, if I had enough money to be considering something like a JCW package for my MCS, I'd have to seriously re-consider spending it on the works pkg and instead picking up one of these classics instead. Heck, for another 50% you could get a whole other -- really cool -- car! Hopefully someone on MCO will take advantage of this.

(unfortunately, it's all fantasy for me since I don't have anywhere near this much disposable income at this time But, it's an idea...)

i have been looking at getting one for my dad this year, becuase its his 50th bday/25th wedding anniversary, but i feel because of the popularity of the new mini, the old mini is way overpriced.

in south east asia, these cars can be had mint for about $1500 bucks, so i thnk if i can find one here for about 3K (once all the hoopla dies down), i will get one for my dad

that said biggarage--good luck on your sale. if i have any friends interested, i will give them your email address

Some food for thought:
I am not trying to sell anyone a Mini by saying this but it is a LOT cheaper to buy a classic Mini like mine than to pick up a more-than-likely rusty, worn out classic Mini "on the cheap" and 'DO IT YOURSELF'.

AND.....those overseas "cheapies" will be a high mileage, right hand drive, 850cc or 1000cc Mini (VERY weak on the highway, compared to the 1275) with sparse, noisy interiors, old drum brakes, and basically old tech all over.
Take it from me....right hand drivers can be a booger to re-sell over here, too.
Getting one shipped over here is NOT a cheap, simple endeavor, either.

Thanks for all the PM's, folks.
ALWAYS good to hear from everyone on the board.
Bill

>>actualy my grandfather has 2 minis in east asia and they are very low mileage, and he would be hapy to let them go for about 400 bucks. and i love right hand drive cars. i think they add to the uniqueness of it. i have had 3 rhd cars in teh US, and love them, so i disagree your point.

Thank you for forwarding my cars to your friends. I do appreciate it.
The price is "or best reasonable offer".

If I were you, I'd start researching those two Minis your grandfather has!
They would be well worth your effort to get them over here asap and either drive and enjoy or sell.
You could make a handsome sum on those two, I'm serious!
Even adding shipping to a $400 USD purchase is still a money-maker for you.
Just food for thought.

Thanks again and best regards,
Bill
