Mini R53: "Mk I" Mini Cooper S 2002 - 2006
Description:

Last spring I installed a set of new Koni FSD on my 2006 JCW.  The ride quality is superb, but I felt it lost too much sportiness having driven the Bilstein B4 and FSD back to back.  They're still sporty, but not quite enough for me.  I should have gone Koni Yellow to start, which I'm exploring now.  Would like to find a new owner for the FSD's first.  Gently used, with 8304 miles since install.  The car is not driven in snow or after the roads are salted.

Looking to get 500+ship.   Or 550 with used OEM springs.

Part numbers:
8745-1012L
8745-1012R
8045-1232 (qty 2)

I'll be traveling between Cleveland, OH and Milwaukee this spring and Asheville, NC and Milwaukee this summer if you're interested in eliminating shipping costs.

So you are saying bilstein b4 are sportier than red Koni's? I am using B4 right now and was considering different options.

In my unprofessional opinion, yes. The B4 provided a noticeably firmer ride (which included a fair amount of harshness that I was hoping to get rid of). I personally felt that the B4's left me much more confident in the corners. I'm not sure that the performance difference is substantial, but the comfort is (in favor of the Koni's).

These opinions are based on spirited driving in both bumpy straight Wisconsin roads and the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina.

Greetings, I would be interested in these for my 2006 JCW. Might your spring travels have you going by the Nashville area (or close)?

Is this set just for the shocks alone or would it be as pictured as 4 full assemblies?
