Where to get power/tuning upgrades done in the lowcountry

Hey all,
I want to get my Mini S boosted up in power and tuned right. Anyone know of a good place to have this done in the Charleston, Savannah, or Columbia areas? I'm all about ordering parts online but I'm not mechanically inclined. There's a local place in Hilton Head that said they can do it, but they've never worked on a Mini before. Or would I be better off going to Orlando (1fastmini) or Grassroots in Thomasville?
BTW, I'm looking at a 15% pulley, CAI, exhaust, spark plugs, and possibly the RMW Jesus head along with suspension and brakes. Pretty much the works for starting, stopping and turning. I feel the need for speed.

I would only entrust my car to someone who truly knows what they're doing with MINIs... Dan at Grassroots Garage does all the work that I won't do myself. 1fastmini and Way Motor Works (Atlanta) are also very good choices. I'm not aware of anyone with similar creds in the Lowcountry.

I just got rid of an RMW head/ cam/ header and rear section exhaust. When you go with the head/cam/header combo your going to want to move up to 440's, and a brk7 (I think).

Main quesiton to ask is what are the goals for the car, and mainly whats is your budget?

I'm not looking at putting the car on the track. At least not yet. Just some good street power. Possible 200hp range. My budget is in the $5-8k range including labor.

Any rec's on brands? You said Jans cam - is that RMW? Is that also his header. Pardon my noviceness, what are 380's? What about a ECU chip?

"Jan's cam" = RMW... also the source of the best header. 380's = injectors (380cc is the JCW size). Best results are being obtained using a custom dyno tune of the stock ECU using Dimsport software - again, RMW is a great option, if you can arrange it... Jan travels around the country doing tuning parties, and also is working on a "remote" tuning option.

Just give him a call and have an idea about what you want to do with your car ie: autox, track, daily driver, etc....and he'll get you pointed in the right direction.

Have you talked to Dennis at Exclusively Bimmer (843) 856-3343 in Mount Pleasant? From what I understand they also work on Mini.

I had the same thought, but realized it is an '08 Convertible, not a Coupe.
