JCW exhaust benefits?

I have an opportunity to purchase a JCW exhaust for a fair price and install it on my 2006 MCSa. Are there any real benefits to upgrading the exhaust, or for pleasure driving (no track time) am I just wasting my money? Sure, I’d like the car to have a bit more passing power, and perhaps a more distinctive sound, but I like the fact that the stock exhaust note is not obtrusive on the freeway. Would the money be better spent on a JCW intake, for instance? Eventually I’ll add the intake, but do I need the exhaust, too? Maybe I’ll later add a 15% pulley if I‘m sure the car will continue to pass California smog requirements and stay in warranty.

I spent 1200 miles in a JCW convertible. The JCW is deeper and supposedly quieter than the stock exhaust, it is more pleasant sounding to my ear. I would say it is less buzzy than the stock exhaust. Compared to the stock exhaust it doesn't have the resonator and muffler in line going from one side under the car to the other side and then out the back. It is parallel and splits into a muffler on each side which both exit in the center. I also read somewhere on the forums that in designing the JCW exhaust they were going for higher performance without an increase in volume.

I just swapped out the MyMini exhaust I had on my car for the stock one due to all the highway driving I've been doing. I actually can't stand the way the stock exhaust sounds, but the fact that it is quiet is nice. If it wasn't for the cost I would pick up a JCW exhaust for my car. In fact, if you don't buy it want to throw the deal my way?

Also I think the polished cans of the JCW exhaust look absolutely ballsy underneath the back of a MINI and the nicer tips makes for a nice view from behind compared to stock.
