Although... to get the full craptastic experience, you really need to pay obscene amounts of money for your crappy bits. If it's not over-priced, it's not crap, laddie!

Well done. You're probably a bit quicker than an S down at the low end.

OK, so I fell of the face of the earth awhile....and while I was gone, "Team Craptastic" was formed...

I wanna be a member!! I have lots of crap on my car...JCW CAI, JCW exhaust, strut brace and (getting fitted as soon as the RFs die) JCW wheels and BBK.
I also have a poser JCW boot badge 'cause it looks really cool.

Do I have enough crap to qualify? Huh? Puh - leeeeze?

Hmm... I'll have to consult the bylaws, but I'm pretty sure that the faux boot badge disqualifies you. That's just wrong.

I know, I know...Mea culpa. At least I 'fessed up to it, though. Can't help it, just like how it looks, and am a big fan of Works stuff.
Dang, if I knew how much I would end up liking JCW, I would have gotten it to begin with!

Bylaw 42 section D says no faux badges. However, there is a codicil to that section that mentions that if the badge is partially torn off due to an over-enthusiastic dive into a corner resulting in a spin and minor scrape against the Armco, then it's ok.

Or send us $50 in small bills and we'll ignore it. You buy JCW crap. We know you can afford it.

Well then...after a recent ride through the twisties of the Santa Cruz Mts., where I spun my MINI out ripping through a tight curve amongst the redwoods and oversteered my back end into a Really Big Tree, the crappy faux badge is hangin' off by a thread. That's what I get for having JCW parts and a 15% pulley and no LSD (ahem - of the mechanical, not pharmaceutical type).

(Those of you with me on that trip, shush now.)

Thank god for codocils.

Hey folks, it looks like a fellow member of Team Craptastic is in need of some help. We made Randy of Webb Motorsports an Honorary Member of the team quite a while back. According to this over at Gabe's site, Randy needs some funds to keep his racing program going:

http://motoringfile.com/2006/06/15/j...%9d/#more-4927

I think I'm going to send him enough to get Team Craptastic on the car for the race. If anybody else can help out, please do. Randy has done a fair ton of stuff for the MINI community, I think we can help him out.

So let's chip in for some racing crap!

A_Sr.

P.S. Anyone going to Indy for the F1 race, I'll see ya on the backstretch!
