Replace while Tranny out

Wondering what I should get replaced while tranny is out...
This is 2017 F54 JCW Manual..

I lost 6th gear while cruising on the highway, and it looks like my tranny is toast :(. Dunno how that happened.

Here is a list I have so far as what to replace:
1) clutch disk + pressure plate + throwout bearing - $300-$700
2) slave cylinder - $100-$250
3) rear main seal - $30-$80
4) transmission input shaft seal - $20-$50 (only if used tranny)
5) transmission mount

Any thoughts or anything else to add?

No need to replace the slave cylinder unless something is wrong with it.

While the trans is out, how

put in a Quaife or Wavetrac.

I read that there isn't much of a benefit for an AWD. Is that incorrect?

Honestly..I'm not well versed on adding an LSD.

This is how we do it.....

Not a 3rd gen owner, but I like my ClutchMasters aluminium flywheel and FX350 clutch on my R53. Maybe they make one for your car, too....

I assume that's the 14lb flywheel. What do you like about the lighter flywheel?
I would think with the rev dropping during shifts, it may take you out of the power band?

Revs quicker, FX350 grabs well enough for my old BVH/cam without slipping and still engages like a stock clutch. Miss the BVH. Lost it with the old engine. New factory crate engine has stock head for now....

I have been doing more research, and found that the ACT doesn't have the holding power I need.

It's between the FX300 and FX350. I'm leaning towards the FX300 mainly for driveability, and that I don't think I'll ever need the additional clamping force. The car is currently stage 1, and at most I'll go stage 2, even that is undecided.

It's a bit odd that BMW/Mini moved the springs from the clutch into the flywheel (hence dual mass setup). I read that their setup helps with smoother shifts.

Did you notice any change in shifting with the new setup?

BTW...does anybody know with the tranny out, does changing the down pipe become any easier?

The FX350 shifts just as amooth as the factory clutch. Not grabby or finicky at all. If given the choice, even if I didn't think the extra clamping force was needed, I would still pick the 350, as it leaves the door open for making more power and not having to circle back and upgrade the clutch again....

I'm reading that it's best to leave the RMS (Rear Main Seal) alone unless it's leaking. There is a risk of a leak being caused by the install.

My first question...has anybody replaced their RMS in the F-series Mini?
Has anybody had leaks after replacement?
