$7k is a good price. Car looks nice and clean inside, and appears to have the JCW aero package.

Who did the PI, a Mini shop? At those miles; crank sensor o-ring, water pump, belt, belt tensioner and the crank harmonic pulley are all items that should be checked in more detail. You can do the power steering hose yourself, there are threads here on how to do.

Brake fluid and antifreeze are some other things that if you cannot verify replacement in the past 2 years, you should do.

Nothing better than a Mini with LSD. I have said it before but it never grows old saying a Mini on LSD is a drug free induced rush.

A mini service center did the pre inspection. I'll get all those other things checked when I do the oil change. Thanks for the heads up!

On the bumper, you can pick up a two part epoxy that works on bumpers. A raccoon and the front of my C5 vette did not get along. I took the bumper off and used the epoxy kit that also has some screen. Got the bumper in the right position, put the epoxy on the back/rear side and then kept pressure on for the required time. Worked like a charm.

I only got $7,500 for my 07 MCS when I traded it in in 2014. Sounds like a good deal for an 06 JCW.

Congrats. If you don't have records, might want to change out the transmission fluid. Cheap insurance.

Hi John1c,
It is possible it is the door weather stripping. A way I test that theory is to put the heater in recirculate mode and if the noise stops it at least tells you maybe where the noise is coming from, at which point you could address that issue. Door glass adjustment is the most common cause of cabin air noise.
I hope this helps you diagnose the cause.

Thinking about picking up a set of these.. how would the gun metal look on the gray car? Feel like black is played out..

Hi John1c,
I like the wheels. You will need to clean up the calipers and rotors, as they will really show with those wheels. I am good with the wheel choice. After all, we need to make these cars personal to us!
I think they look better than your factory wheels too! (not that the factory wheels are ugly, but more than the good karma it will give you!)
I am an old fart, but when I get in a Mini, it does something to me. It brings on all the good karma a ride should bring to us. Nothing like driving a go kart on the road, embarrassing Mustangs, Camaros, most Corvettes and the ever present Chargers, in the handling game! LOL
I live within the twisty country mountain roads of southern Oregon, so it is all about handling for me, not all out speed.
