Quote: You happy with the Continental TPMS? Just getting ready to order some. OEM from MINI is on back order with an unknown available date.
Very happy.

They work perfect.

FYI- Porsche uses them too.

Volcanic, do you have the JCW Pro suspension installed?

Quote: Very awesome! I'm running 18x8 + 40 on a 225/40/18 (I'm running RE71R, they are as wide cross section wise as my buddies 245/35/18 PSC2). Absolutely love it

I am running KW Variant 2, the Powerflex challenge car front fixed camber bushings with front rear fixed bushings, adjustable upper and lower rear control arms, NM sway bar and rear end links and adjustable front end links.

I just ordered my JCW and I love these wheels. I am thinking about putting on the JCW Pro suspension but I am afraid of rubbing. Any recommendations?

The JCW Pro doesn't go as low as the regular V1's/V2's so you should be ok! The +45 seems to be a good fitment for 225's without needing a lot of camber - +40 you need to be running adjustable front control arms or camber plates (which aren't out yet), even as low as I am. I had to do a lot of trimming with the +40's just as an FYI.

What setup would you recommend for the least amount of "tinkering"? I want to lower the car a bit and I love these wheels. Should I skip the JCW Pro suspension and just put on lowering springs or go with the JCW Pro suspension and only run 215 tires? I am a rookie when it comes to these things! Thanks for your help!

I would say KW Variant 1's and lower rear control arms, +45 and 225's should be fine! Variant 1's are a bit cheaper than the JCW Pro and essentially the same item, but they go lower!

About to mount some 18x8+50 with 225x40x18 on f55s with kW variant 3 coilover. Any feedback on possible fit (not sure how f55 differs from f56 wheel well) just trying to have ideas of fitment or possible issues prior to having everything installed. Thank you guys for your help.

Also not sure about F55s but it'll be a safe bet to test fit the rim before mounting the tires. I too have an 8 inch wheel but my offset is 45 same as OP and it's really super close to the strut.

I actually have 17X8s on 215/45/17 but OP has 18X8s +45 and he's on 225/35/18 tires.

My point here is the +50 offset on 8" rims may rub the struts so test fit to be sure.

Pretty much putting a 5 mm spacer puts me at offset 45 which is the same as the OP
Just making sure I got it all planned out. Not trying to have everything ready to go and have to order and wait for the right spacers.

What kind of wheels are you getting? Don't they have it in et45?

Jobexo closest they have is 17x7.5+44 Volks ze40 ended up ordering 18x8+50 I can always use spacers but rather not if at all possible. The 17 would have been perfect but l went with 18. I'm sure I can make it work somehow, just trying to figure out all the possibilities so there are no surprises when I go to the shop. Neat wheels wil most likely NM engineering 18 inches that clear BBK. That's way down the line though.

This is what clearance 17x8 ET45 looks like with 215/45/17 tyre to the strut

RDSJCW, how are your wheels holding up? I ask because your tire has a very low profile.

Mine was a bit tight. Maybe 2-3mm to the tire 3-5 mm to the lip of the wheel. Works thought.

Can someone share a front photo of its mini with team dynamics 18 8 et45?

I can't understand how many cm a front wheel poke from an arch(

Quote: Think that is the same rim that guy in the uk used in his build, I recall that he had the jcw pro brake kit and they cleared. He sold the car to a fellow forum member so I am sure the info is on nam somewhere in the f56 thread.

If you lower the car you will need to run a 215 without spacers on a 45et wheel with zero scrubbing or rubbing.

If you plan to mount a 235 on a 45et you will need a 10mm spacer and expect to roll the fenders front and rear and if lowering learn to live with scrubbing and rubbing of the inner and top of wheelwell.

A 225/35/18 45et 5mm spacer might work on a lowered car without scrubbing and rubbing but you will still need to roll the fenders .
I WHile it is not the exact same size, I have the Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2, with the 17x7.5 +45 wheels, with 215/45 R17 Pilot Supersports, with Eibach Springs, and there are zero fitment issues. I would wager that an extra .5 inches of wheel would be fine, looking at my inner and outer fenders.

Cool wheels!) Please provide more photos!)

I am currently choosing between 17 and 18 inch and can't decide which one is better)

I went with 17's primarily for weight reduction, and that I could fit a bit meatier tires on them. These are about 7 pounds or so lighter than stock, and the tires are a few pounds lighter too. They are great on the track.
