Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 18x8 for JCW f56
After a 16+ week wait to get these gloss black gems made, they just showed up from The UK via FedEx.
18x8 e45 with gloss black finish. I will mount 235-35-18 inch rubber nxt. spring.
Should look trick plus the brake calipers will be visible & easy to clean. The oem track spoke 205-45-17 all season's will stay on for the winter.
The finish is 1st rate. A bargain for such a lite weight wheel @ just over 1k.

Very nice! Who did you get them through?

I'm anxious to see what the fitment is like (i.e. clearance from strut & inner fender, plus what spacer thickness will be needed).
I absolutely KNOW I am going to want that size tire, since it is the proper rolling diameter as the stock 205/40/18's. It should look much better on the F56 due to the wider width as well.
Please post up when you get them mounted. Your MINI looks lowered, so if they fit your car they should be fine on a stock JCW sport suspension.
I'm just curious, do those wheels come in silver as well? I like black, but my entire car is black, so I may want the contrast of going with the lighter colored wheels.
The openness is awesome....I hate hiding the huge Brembos with my stock cup-spokes! I do like the stock wheels though...the F56 just needs more rubber on the road!!!
Cheers,
John

If you lower the car you will need to run a 215 without spacers on a 45et wheel with zero scrubbing or rubbing.
If you plan to mount a 235 on a 45et you will need a 10mm spacer and expect to roll the fenders front and rear and if lowering learn to live with scrubbing and rubbing of the inner and top of wheelwell.
A 225/35/18 45et 5mm spacer might work on a lowered car without scrubbing and rubbing but you will still need to roll the fenders .

Think that is the same rim that guy in the uk used in his build, I recall that he had the jcw pro brake kit and they cleared. He sold the car to a fellow forum member so I am sure the info is on nam somewhere in the f56 thread.

Surely, without lowering, the 235/35/18's on the right 18" x 8" wheel with the right spacer will clear everything....time will tell I suppose.
If not, I'll be backing off to a less radical optional wheel/tire setup, or keep it stock (which looks pretty darn good with the Cup-Spokes).

u cant roll the new plastic F56 fender arches. U will need a dremel type tool to remove some material on the inside of the plastic arch.
The e45 Team Dynamic wheels fit correctly & clear JCW calipers with out spacers.
The "so-called" issue is 215/225/235 width tire rubbing on the inside of the coilover and/or rubbing against the outside fender arch.

215/35/18 on 18x8 et45 are so close to the strut I can not go any wider without spacers. The issue is once you move the face of the wheel out 5mm you are past the fender lip and it starts to look goofy and they will rub inside and out.
I know first hand that 235s on a coilover lowered f5x car is a no go deal unless you like having the face of rim and shoulder of the tire poke past the front fender lip by 5mm+ plus lots of rubber to metal contact.225 will need a 40et to clear suspension in front.
Just trying to save you some cash.

cut and paste from thread
There doesn't seem to be much clearance on the F56 compared to the R56 - both on the outside and inside of the arch my wheels are 18x8 ET45 as this is VERY close to the strut tower! I would imagine that with coils, I will need a spacer to stop the wheels / tyres fouling the strut.
I am also surprised at how close these seem to sit to the outside of the wheel arch. I think the F56 owners are going to have less clearance for rims that R56 owners currently have!
I will no doubt be running some 205/40 18 Michelin Pilot Super Sports on these rims, which will give some stretch (although will be within Michelins recommended rim range - so I'm hoping it won't be too much!?)
Thoughts guys?

I would have been perfectly happy with 18" x 7.5" rims like the MINI configurator said for the two-tone cup spokes (may still say this!), but they are obviously only 7" wide.
I believe an 18" x 7.5" rim with 215/40/18's might be the ticket, even though they may throw the speedo off a wee bit.
I doubt anything wider will work on the F56 from what I've seen so far...time will tell.

here are pics of my car. even with the wheels not centered you can see how running anything wider than a 215 on a 18x8 wheel 45et in the front will poke ,225 will poke 10mm,235 will poke 20mm and there is zero as in maybe 2/3mm or clearence to the strut so a higher offset wheel will not work and any lower offset will equal more poke.
Call Jerry at Nm he will be very helpful in what fits and what does not.
