JCW Pro Accessories

Seems MINI is following in the footsteps of their big brother BMW with an additional line of visual performance parts. The JCW Pro accessories add a subtle aggression to the F56 model, but are they really worth the cost (similar to BMW M Performance accessories).

It seems there are only a handful of accessories right now, but I would assume the list will grow as availability of JCW's increases.

I am considering adding the spoiler extensions, but not sure on best approach. Should I have them contrasting roof color or matching roof color?

I left them black on the Chili Red roof and the contrast looks great. I also highly recommend the pro extended front splitters. Pricey but they cut the under bite.

That sounds great, any pictures that you can share so I can get a better feel on how it will look. Are the spoiler winglets easy to paint? They look similar to the body trim plastics, which may be difficult to prepare for paint

My color combination is Chili Red with Black Roof.

JCW Pro

I ended up getting the JCW Pro Carbon Fiber Hood scoop since I had leftover accessories credit at my dealer. Pics will be following!

There is tape on the back. They haven't budged since installing them.

I've debated on the CF hood scoop. I'm not sure if I will like it over the black. Let's see pics!

I picked up these trim removal tools to make the job easier.

It's pretty straight forward. Remove one bolt and carefully pop the clips holding the splitters in place. I was able to get my hand behind the splitters to push down and out on the clips holding them in place.

The clips on the horizontal section came out much easier than the two on the vertical section. Just take your time and be patient. Also, be careful not to scratch the plastic of the wheel arch with the metal clip on the splitter. I put some tape on the bottom of the wheel arch to prevent it.

When installing the new ones make sure you start the vertical clips first. The first one was a bear and the second one was a piece of cake.

I had ordered the front splitters, not realizing they are not compatible with the collision sensor package option my wife wanted... luckily I figured it out when doing a walk around in the car lot of demo minis a few days later; before my accessories dealer had actually placed the order. (I use a separate guy, a mate, who imports genuine parts for me to save on shipping)

I am getting the spoiler extensions and talking to some local trades here in AU to make a custom splitter to suit the sensor placement.

It is actually listed on WMW site that they don't work together... in my excitement I actually missed it... I was disappointed tbh, more so the factory body kit for the JCW doesn't have them on it.

I see the CF scoop. And that's the JCW Aero Kit like we all have that comes on the car right? . Where are the CF Mini Wings, is that the badge in the middle under the scoop?
Question: is it possible to get dummy driving lights that just mount on the grill that aren't wired, they just look like that? I'd consider that, I have no desire to actually use them.

No,
the JCW Pro Aero kit does not come standard with JCW's
Its an option from The JCW Pro Accessories catalog. The two front black splitters are much different than oem stock trim.

The CF Mini wings are from CarbonMinin.com.

Driving LED lights are options as well & are wired up with optional steering column control on/off switch

Hey dbdecker,

What happened with your custom splitters? Did you get them sorted. Am interested in the same. Was thinking of drilling a glue....should not be too difficult.

Thanks

Honestly, one of the silliest things I've heard on this forum.

I personally think those extra lights that mount to the grill are ugly, but would be useful in certain driving conditions.
