JCW jcw gp 2 diffuser

I got them for $260 + tax. It's the rear piece, the two brackets, and the two tunnels. I just installed it, and it looks fantastic. Not very difficult, but then again, I don't have a lift, had to go out twice to get a couple of sockets since I didn't have a metric set, and installed it in a parking garage with very little light. I'll post pictures in a couple of days.

The bottom piece on the JCW aero bumper was a tiny bit difficult to get off because I didn't have an 8 mm socket, and there are three 8 mm screws holding it on. The one by the tailpipe is easy, the other two are at each end and require a tiny 1/4 inch ratchet to get them off - tight space. I took out the rear vent pieces (where the fogs go) and it's easier to see and remove. You keep and reuse those screws. The brackets attach to two bolts that go into the chassis, which are currently holding the back end of the exhaust system. The tunnels screw into the new diffuser and onto the brackets. I only needed to buy 6 screws with big washers from the MINI parts desk to be used when I screwed the tunnels onto the brackets. All of the other screws are there, except for those six screws. They all screw into the self-tapping metal clamps that come with the parts. I've got a June 2008 build - 2009 JCW, and except for the screws I bought, everything else just snaps and screws in. I noticed that I don't have the underbody aerodynamics shields, but I'm looking into getting those too. There's a link to a Total MINI thread on the first page that tells you all you need to know. Really simple install

it comes out around $290 and my dealer gives me a 10% discount for being a member of the local MINI club.
The rear piece that you see is around $110, the two brackets are about $50 each and the other two plastic rear tunnel pieces are about $40 each. Call you dealer with the part nos. that are on the REAL OEM link and your prices should be the same.

Thank you for posting your experience. I'm really excited to get the set as well! If it's not too much trouble, would you be able to post a specific part number or description of the 6 additional screws/washers that is needed for the kit?

I don't know the part nos. for the screws. I brought a screw and the metal self tapping clip to my MINI store to see if they had something. The parts guy told me that they have drawers of screws and the like, so he found something close, but not the exact ones that come with it. The ones that come with the parts are black with about a 1 inch washer. The ones he got me were silver with a bigger washer, and they worked out very well. I've got an extra one around here, so I'll take a picture and post ASAP.

Not the best because I'm inside a parking garage. I'll get some better ones this weekend.
Also, a picture of the screws I got from the dealer. I needed six - three each to attach the mid-section tunnels to the brackets. Those were the only parts I needed, everything else was included - or existing on the car - 2009 factory JCW.
The screws are one inch long.

Technically, and it's my belief MINI used the design from Group4 Autosports for the new GP rear diffuser......MINI R&D guys were taking photos and measurments off of my friends R56S equipped with one of their's at the Dragon few years back.....
