JCW GarageInterested in John Cooper Works (JCW) parts for your 2nd Generation MINI? This is where JCW upgrades and accessories for the MINI Clubman (R55), Cooper and Cooper S (R56), and Cabrio (R57) MINIs are discussed.
Looks Awesome!! What's is the treatment on the headlights and tail lights to make them so dark looking. Also, did you do a Joey Mod to the headlights? What colors did you use?
Thanks, the body shop did the head lights for a mere 20$ since some lady had rolled into my bumper a few years back, and he already had the paint mixed. Also, thats how I upgraded to my JCW front clip for a mere $80 (paying the difference in parts between the replacement S bumper), FTW.

The headlights have clear vinyl on them for protection (done when I got it tinted within 24 hrs of picking her up, brand new lol). The tail lights and side turn signals I wrapped in smoke vinyl, easy to wrap since you can take them both out of the sockets. The headlight is Joey Mod'd black with the red ring, though i've been wanting to change the red ring to dark silver since I've lost most of the red accents now.
Great looking car SooperCuperErik!!! I too was wondering how did you treat your head lamp housing??
Thanks, the head lamp housing is done with high heat engine paint, and the red ring around the xenon lens is just auto paint, theres no high heat there so no bubbling.
since i've gotten rid of most of the red accents on the car, the headlight lens rings needed to be changed. went with a more permanant dark silver to match the body.
Also, added the brake ducts, left out the grill.. still deciding how I like it.
