JCW airbox vacuum line

Installed a new air filter from mini madness, and after wrestling with the thing to get the new filter on couldn't find the vacuum line. My recollection is that there was a white hose coming out of the airbox, but its not there anymore. I might have knocked it off. The only thing I see is a really small wire/hose looking thing, much smaller than the what I remember of the white hose. Cant find any pictures in Bentleys so Im not sure what Im missing.

I have the vacuum line outside the box but dont know what it hooks up to. Anybody know?

This is what it looks like. Does the white hose connect to this?

"De-Flap" it. That's how MINI Madness does it.

They do recommend to prop open the flap, and not connect switch at rear. At the same time, they advise to reconnect vacuum pipe (the part I am missing) at front of the airbox. $74 bones at the dealership!
