Just pulled the trigger yesterday to order JCW aero kit
Well, I've just owned my MCS for a month and really like the JCW aero kit at the showroom. Finally pulled the trigger yesterday for chili red painted kit.
Can't wait!!!!
Can't wait!!!!
The 2 boxes came today and I just went on and install springs, replace brake pads on a less than 2K miles MCS. Stock brake pad dust is just too much for me so rather spend $100 than cleaning my wheels every week!
Hope to get everything done this week ...
For 2011, it would be the same as 2010 since 2011 models are only got some refreshes on front and rear bumpers (and some black out interior). When putting on JCW kit, it will replace your front and rear bumpers so all Gen 2 JCW kit MCS'es would be the same.

Something weird is going on with the 2011 JCW aerokit, but not sure what yet. I was at the dealer Monday night sitting there at the computer with my buddy who's the GM there. On their ordering guide, it had the "JCW aero kit" listed, but also had "2011 JCW aero kit add-on, necessary for model year 2011+." It was several hundred dollars more and with no explanation as to what it is or does. I would agree that the 2011 "updates" appear on the surface to just be new bumper caps so not sure what extra would be needed. He sent an email to his contact in New Jersey asking what it's all about. He did tell me that having the wheel arches painted along with the JCW kit is available as a port installed option.

I just installed last week so not spending anything on that part.
Thanks for the info, Vettestripes.
I looked the pics of the installation that took from one of members here, I don't think I'm able to do it myself.

Well, to me ... pretty easy.
After you remove the front bumper, then you will familiar with all the plastic plugs for rear bumper and side skirts.
This is instruction to remove front bumper here: http://www.altaperformance.com/share.../ampeng420.pdf
This is the instruction to remove rear bumper: http://www.minidomore.com/mini_coope...iler_hitch.php
After those, you will pretty much understand how things got mounted on a Mini so removing side skirts are not that hard. I could not find instruction to remove side skirts but after couple plugs inside the rear wheel well, 6 or 8 on the bottom, and peel off alum door silk to get 4 more plugs out, you can pull the side skirts off. Except for those plugs inside the rear wheel well and at the bottom, you will break all remaining plugs include breaking those under the alum door silk as well :-)
The new kit will have all the replacement plugs so don't worry about those broken one's.

Good luck!

For 2011 models...
the reverse lights lives in the rear bumper. My understanding is the "2011 kit" includes the new fog light/reverse light (one of each). 2010 models dont have to worry about this since the reverse lights are in the actual rear light housing.

For 2011, the rear fog lights are in the different shape so you will have to order 2010 or earlier fog light for JWC kit.
This is not true. 2007 - 2010 got the rear fog light option so you can pop up the rear fog lights and out them in there. If you don't have then you need to order and need to go in the computer and turn it on ... or just tap it to the parking light and done with it.
