John Cooper Motorsports Challenge Exhaust

Had one of ^ fitted this week. My mods are as per my sig but in terms of the exhaust its: Janspeed manifold/header, Janspeed sports cat, Straight centre section, JCM UK Challenge back boxes.

Didnt gain any peak power/torque from changing but the tone is much changed. Think all the properties of the JCW cat back but more - louder and deeper !!

Dyno run done on a mustangs dyno, ~23deg C ambients.

Interested to hear peoples thoughts...

Sounds somewhat similar to my JCW exhaust with the RMW header

Cheers guys

The video doesnt do it justice.... it really is awesome ! :D Full chat blasts are immense... That video was literally minutes after it was fitted, but now that its been on a few days the sound has settled down a little. Not as raspy but still very pleasant :D

Even without tunnels its pretty awesome - have a short section near my parents house which is keeping me amused at the moment but I need a trip down to London for some better tunnels

Thanks for the comments guys - it really does sound even better than on the videos... the GF (she was taking the vids) said that you could hear the car for far longer than the videos show, too much wind meant the (poor) camera was only hearing the wind noise not the exhaust....

It pops very well too - mid revs, hold the throttle then back off and without fail it will pop on cue... very cool

Unfortunately the car is now up for sale :( Change or circumstances has forced me to move the car on so just as Ive got it to the spec I wanted Im having to strip it down and sell off...

If anyone is interested in the JCM exhaust drop me a PM - I may be able to ship to the US as its a 2 piece so can be 'collapsed' for cheaper transport/shipping.....

Shame

Wow, that sounds nice. Many people I meet like the sound of their JCW exhaust but with the header sounds mean. Very nice

Thanks

Just to confirm that exhaust in the video is the JCM (not JCW) while the header is the Janspeed item.
