Lyle from Vinyl Styles will come to Connecticut, if he can get 10 Minis with at least two products installed on each Mini.
From what I have read on this forum his work is amazing. I would love to have him come locally to black out all the chrome on my 2010 John Cooper Works Mini.

Not yet. I am sure it will be on the weekend. People work during the week. As soon as we have ten people that want to black out at least two parts, and pre pay to Lyle, then I will have a more firm date. I would like to have it done on a weekend this summer.
We have about six people now. We need four more. Maybe five, just in case someone drops out.

I am interested in this. Picking up a new R55 Rally this weekend or some time next week. Would like to know a ball park date, perhaps a month.

 

We are up to eight people now. We only need 2 to 3 more. Then I can call Lyle and set it up.
Once we have the 10 to 11 people. Everyone will call Lyle on their own and pre order and pay for the work that they want done. Then Lyle will come out here and do it.

O.K. I just spoke with Lyle. He said he needs everybody that is interested to call him at 1-650-743-8034. Let him know that you are part of the Connecticut install. Also he needs to know excactly what parts you want done and he needs at least a 50% deposit to save a spot for you. He accepts credit cards.
We are hoping to do the installations between Friday June 25, 2010 to Sunday June 27, 2010.
It is very important that we contact him and give our deposits by the end of the week if he will come on those days. If not he will have to come sometime in July.
He needs to know how much material to ship to my house. Along with his tools. That takes 7 to 10 days. He also needs to make travel arrangements.
He also said that since two of us are getting complete black out packages, that 7 to 8 people total will be fine.
Once everybody calls him and gives their deposit, he will call me and I will PM you guys and gals the install scheadule with date and time.
It's better if everybody PM me their cell phone numbers.

they are grinding an re-paving the Merritt Parkway right now and that's the route that I would take. I will not drive the MINI on that stretch as long as it's in that condition. Do you know or are you familiar with when that project will end? My neighbor works at Sikorsky so that's how I know about it (said that he car is getting TRASHED daily)...

 

Just drive up 95 and cut over west. Or put the address into Google maps and look for alternate routes.
