Just installed JCW rear roof spoiler

I bought it from Crevier Mini today. Thumbs up to Jesse and Alex for providing great service and price

The installation was really easy. Just pulled the stock one and installed the new one. There was no trick. It took only about 10 minutes .

I drove my car with the stereo off and there was no unusual wind noise. I am very happy with it. Woo hoo!

So here's the pics:

Thanks for the write up I love this spoiler.

In December I was looking at this new JCW wing on a new MINI in RI. I was amazed on how they were now adapting this piece to the car. No longer are special glues applied ect. It's basically a bolt on part affixed to a 1st Gen style Cooper rear spoiler. Much simpler to install than before.

A guy in our club just installed one of these Looks great! Unbolt and bolt up, how easy is that Was trying to find some way to adapt it to a R53? Would be very hard to do, our rear top valence panel curves to much, where the R56's is almost flat

The roof portion comes in black, white or in primer, the spoiler legs and ends only come in silver

On the 1st Gens, the JCW Spoiler has to be bonded on, it is not an easy bolt on.

^White black or primer, not carbon fiber. The entire wing is carbon fiber no matter what color you order.the color is just for the base.

To the OP, the wing looks great. I like how the silver trim pieces tie into the bonnet stripes.

Where did you get yours from? $550 sounds like a great deal! Want one for my 2009 MCS Black over Dark Silver.

^ I got it from my local Mini dealership. I believe Moristown Mini is selling it less than what I paid for. The JCW is very light compare to the stock one.

1st gen spoiler

Sorry man. I have the 2nd Gen. which of course was an easy bolt on. I have no experience with your predicament.

Hopefully someone will come thru for you.
Have you tried YouTube?

Man they have everything.

I used it to install my mini-fini system.
give it a try.

Good luck and good driving!
